I bought a 99 13 years ago with 17,000 miles on it. I now have 63,000 on it and I am 81 years old. I have had a lot of bikes over the years but never had a bike I love as well as this one. Mine is pretty much a stock FXSTC, with lots of chrome added by the original owner. Chrome lower sliders on the front fork, chrome brake cylinders, chrome swing arm, chrome slotted rear wheel, chrome extra spoke from wheel, and more. Mine was in almost new condition as the guy I got it from was a fanatic in taking care of the 5 bikes he had. Only thing I can tell you is you got a great deal and you will love that bike.

I will say that I'm happy to hear you love your harley. Nobody can say you haven't put miles on it that's for sure haha. I'm happy to hear that your 81 and still riding. That itself is a feat not many can do. It sounds like you found the perfect bike for you. I did enjoy it alot there's no doubt about that. I ended up selling it and picked up a 2009 dyna fat bob. The fat bob is a much more fun ride to me. The evo was great it was just lacking in power. It sure did sound good though. Thanks for commenting and telling me your story. I hope you continue to ride for as long as possible. Stay safe out there and ride carefully Jim take care.

The Evo is plenty of power for this old dude. I started riding Whizzer motor bikes when I was 8 years old in 1949. Rode friends Cushman motor scooters. Bought my first Harley when I was 14 in 1955. A 1942 "45" flat head. Side shift on the tank and rocker foot clutch. Wish I still had her. I rode it to a high school track meet to a town about 4 miles away. I asked a girl if she wanted to go for a ride. I had one of those big buddy seats. She hopped on and we went for a little ride. We have been married for 62 years. True story. So the EVO is way over powered compared to the flat head which would do about 65 wide open down hill with the wind at your back. Lots of fun though. Enough of my rambling. I do not do long rides anymore, just an hour or so around the back roads where I live in the country a couple of miles from town.

There are so many beautiful evolution powered big twins sitting in garages with low mileage just waiting for someone to buy them at a bargain price and enjoy them for the rest of life. Outside of leaking gaskets that is the only thing that you can say is bad about an EVO and I tell people real motorcycles leak oil as long as it's not too much. Twin cams and Milwaukee h-have a shopping list of expensive manufacturer defects that you have to spend thousands of dollars to rectify. When people say evo's make no horsepower I say they make 65 horsepower and that is pretty good, it is good enough to carry two people and luggage at ninety miles an hour all day long from New York to Florida. It was the last of the real Harley that was not a collection of government regulations on two wheels. I would not take a twin cam or a milwaukee-eight for free. I could not afford to replace all of the defective parts in the engine. Evos forever forever ♾️ evos.

Not original. The front wheel would have a 21” front wheel.

@@letscheckitout1985 Are you sure? The rake seems different on that one. Maybe it's because of the 19" wheel. I'm pretty sure they did. But if you are a Harley tech I guess you would know.
