10:00 it was General Mahad. Serrano was the doctor on the radio-completely different character. The general is voiced by Keith Szarabajka, who also voiced Dr. Kyne in the first Dead Space game.

~2:49:45 My brother gave me an OG copy of the first Gears of War when I was a kid, IRRC it came out in 05, so I was 11-12. I only ever got to play the first chapter and didn't get to kill the Berserker. Once I got an undamaged copy, I was actually traumatized into a fear of the dark by the night chapter. God, the first three games in that franchise are an amazing blind playthrough.

Speaking of mint: Mint just covers the whole family of plants. Spearmint, peppermint, and all the other types of mint (there's a LOT) just grow in different places and have subtle differences, if any at all.

You can actually survive about 5-6 seconds of exposure to the vacuum of deep space without a helmet, BUT *only* if you exhale fully, pop your ears, and pinch your nose so that everything doesn't get sucked out. That being said, you're still basically fucked if there's nowhere to get inside, and that few seconds is going to be excruciatingly painful. I think Isaac in this case however is fine because not just did he get his helmet on in time, he also had a pressurized suit on and the atmosphere being sucked out through the hull breach doesn't immediately evaporate, so there's still the tiniest little bit of air a few inches from the breach.

The cilantro gene does in fact, exist, but in reality it's just a common gene every Human has that expresses differently in every person. Hence why some people can pick up on soapy chemicals in the cilantro while others don't. This actually applies to a lot of foods, and, odds are applies to animals as well

The whole relationship "She's mine" stuff was really unneeded in the game. Just kind of petty stuff that didn't make an interesting character.

Coulda made it a slight jealousy thing, but not the thing that makes him call Danik, coulda had Locke be a turn coat who set a beacon as they were heading down to the planet before dieing. Meaning the person is dead and Norton could have done the sacrifice play in the lab and gotten truly cooked by the gas.

The term "discover" is actually very subjective. Technically, the first people in North and South America would be the ones to "discover" the continent, the north by crossing the Bering Straight land bridge following migrating herds, and South America was actually "discovered" by a tribe of ocean traveling people, who settled down and became the Aztec, Mayans, Inca, and so on eventually. Then the Vikings arrived, once the Native American tribes had been established for generations. The land bridge at this time was submerged and America, at least where the Vikings landed, up near what's now Maine, was an uninhabitable swamp shit hole, so they left. Ironically Greenland and Iceland were actually better places for them to settle. Then came Columbus, who discovered an island off the coast, the Caribbean IIRC, slaughtered all the natives there *TWICE* , stole their gold, and then told the Spaniards, who officially landed in South America cause Columbus was an absolute fucking dunce, then traveled up the coast till Florida. Ultimately their attempted genocide and intermingling of the South American natives is what led to modern day Mexicans/ South Americans.

The only reason we actually have Columbus Day is because Italian immigrants back in the 1900s made up the whole story of him finding America so people would be more accepting of them, because back then shit was really racist and violent. Also, turns out the whole reason Columbus thought he could get to India going the way he did is not just because no one at the time knew of the American continent, but because he was a flat Earther. People of the time actually believed the Earth was a globe, even Columbus' brothers knew that, he was just one of the stubborn assholes who didn't want to listen to scientific reason.

I do believe stasis is only available to people who need it for their job, i.e. doctors, engineers, soldiers, and mechanics, and what ever other professions, but they have stations to dispense charges for it almost everywhere if it's ever needed, the only reason civilians can't use it is because the stations are locked to them unless they have a RIG that's linked to it/ the actual module to use it. Which I would imagine, cause this is a dark sci-fi setting, there are hackers and thugs and other criminals who do abuse that.

As based as Snam is. Dead Space 3 is good it’s just the least of the trilogy and has some meddling from EA. People are incapable of recognizing when one of the 3 entries in a trio of games is good to great but the other 2 are S-tier. They have to shit on the least quality entry even if it’s not shit

no it just is shit. Sure, its playable, has some cool ideas, and is well-built, but it also has fucking microtransactions, poorly designed enemy encounters that makes it almost impossible to get through any section without taking damage since nothing gets staggered anymore, a redesigned upgrade system that is in no way better than what came before it, repetitive missions, a fucking love triangle, co-op locked content, a dodge roll, unneccesary human enemies, and a complete and distinct lack of horror.
