The question that Diane Brady asked Gordon Chang was: What path can the U.S. takes that deals with China's aggression that will not result in war? The answer is: There is no path we can take that guarantees no war. Xi Jinping will keep pressing onward until he gets what he wants, even if that means all-out war ... they are prepared for war. No matter what action you take, there is always a risk that war will result. That's generally what happens when you're dealing with someone who wants to fight. Americans need to get used to that idea and quit operating as though some magical answer out there if only we keep excusing his actions. We need to accept the risk and move forward with assertive policies and actions that are in our best interests. Or, before we know it, we will all end up in reeducation programs ... if we survive. China is going to keep pushing toward their goal until someone stands up and blocks their path.

I don’t know. It seems that, nowadays, everybody is preparing for an armed conflict in one form or another. I only pray that the belligerence between the two sides stays within the confines of mere rhetoric. I pray that cooler heads will prevail over the growing numbers of hotheads. One thing is for sure, the current tense situation between America and China is way too toxic. Everything in their verbal salvos always seem to eventually lead to a zero-sum game. I pray that these two great nations don’t ever get into a hot war. If they do, it’s game over for everybody. Both sides will lose. BIG. Additionally, a whole lot of other countries around the world will be affected by it. Like a ripple effect, such a hot war may escalate into an overall global crisis of beyond monumental proportions. Even worse, such a global crisis may escalate into a global hot war and this horrible scenario, needless to say, will be calamitous to all of humanity. I know I’m stating the obvious when I say that there will be no winners in this - NONE. Any recognized victory will be a very very feeble pyrrhic one … a last gasp before death.
