We’re tired of cheap tools that don’t last or bend in use in the field. We decided to invest in a Bully Tool®. Here’s what we found out.

We’ve had our share of lawn and garden tools around our hobby farm. We’ve had wood and fiberglass handles on our shovels, rakes, and hoes. We’ve tried to balance between the purchase price and how strong the tool was, how easy it was to use, and how well it worked.
One thing we can tell you for sure - bargain tools aren’t. You get exactly what you pay for. Cheap tools don’t last, don’t do the job well, don’t feel good in the hands, and fail pretty quickly. What you saved in the initial price is quickly eaten up in having to make another purchase.
A while back, we came across Bully Tools® and were intrigued. These heavy-duty tools are made in the United States. They are not cheap - in quality or price. However, after buying their T-handled spade fork, we are convinced this is a “one and done” purchase. So, the true cost of owning the tool is “amortized” over the entire life of the tool, so the cost of ownership is quite low.
There is nothing light-duty or questionable about the construction of this tool. Every component is heavy-duty steel, and the fit and finish is very nice. The packaging is substantial and nice, and the order arrived quickly.
Recently, during a septic tank crisis at our home, the crew showed up to take care of the problem and they were using Bully Tools®. They swear by them.
The only downside we can see is that these tools are a bit heavier than you might expect, due to their manner of construction and the materials used. With the spade fork, that weight works to my advantage as I prepare raised beds for another growing season.
You can quickly see the entire line of Bully Tools® at www.bullytools.com. They call them the strongest tools in America and from what I’ve seen, I don’t think they are overstating. No, we don’t get paid for this, and we bought the tool ourselves, so this is our honest and unswayed opinion, but you make up your mind for yourself!
JUST DO IT YOURSELF!
