I live in Alaska. We're still wondering if we'll be able to get natural gas locally to heat our homes by 2026. Biden killed us in fishing, crabbing, mining, oil, gas, timber and building roads, and wasted federal tax dollars on internet that gets cut off by undersea ice constantly instead of saving millions and just using Star Link. Because they shut down our local source for natural gas to heat the homes of over 500,000 Alaskans (2/3 the total population), we had to keep coal mines open and keep burning wood. We might have to import gas. All this ended up causing more pollution and risk of spills and threatens the lives of Alaskans. It's unforgivable.

I live in iowa, a biodesert of chemically maintained industrial dirt/media (used to be soil) that drains into the rivers to make them filthy - they do this to grow corn and soybeans to feed animals "raised" in CAFOs to slaughter in factories that smell like death. The benefit is an environmental and health care crisis that is defended vehemently and funded as a subsidized job creating welfare state because it can't survive in a capitalistic economy. It is a fed tax money laundering scheme for big ag - turn my taxes into their profits via farmers. I'm vegan and healthy and find all that bad business, unnecessary and disgusting. I have no romantic illusions to what these "industries" are. Preserve them? How about growing healthy food for people locally?Crazy talk right?

I have lived in Maine, and Newfoundland, Canada. Yes, no one realizes that these aren't just some ppl going out throwing nets in the water! The weather extremes are brutal, the storms are brutal, the work is brutal, life on board for weeks/months on end is brutal... They are some of the hardest working ppl I have met in my 67 yrs.!
