He is so brilliant that he didn’t mentioned that this SVB issue is directly related to Trump administration’s repeal of the regulation imposed by Dod Frank act bill, and raised the threshold for stricter regulation from banks with $50 billion in assets to only those with $250 billion. requirements for deposit. I think at least something like 20 Democrats joined Trump and supported this repeal of deposit requirements for small and midsize banks. He voted for it!

I lost my home during 2008 bailouts! A widow with 2 young children in school. I had back problems and I tried to work but I couldn't so I lost...everything! No one gave me a bailout. I now have that dirty secret no one wants to talk about- colorectal cancer and I fear I'm at stage 4. I went through a year of surgeries, chemo and radiation and I'm going to just let God's will be done. I'm not "giving up"! I'm moving on! I trust God more than I trust this government! Like I use US Bank, let's say they're caught running a drug smuggling ring with smuggling in illegal food from Mexico like let's say Mexican coke so we can drink coke from a can like a true red blooded American, unlike the glass bottles of other countries. Anyways so my bank gets caught smuggling over a 50 billion dollars worth of coke, and the company goes bankrupt. Now I've been banking with US Bank for 20 years ever since I got my first student checking account when I got my first job at my local grocery store. They've not charged me a single fee because of my special student account that I kept, so I opened a credit card with them because they offered me the best deal and I got a savings account and invested with them. Now let's say I'm a machine learning engineer at Ford, I work on computer vision for their cars because I'm working on the self driving cars division. I got the job straight out of college because I fixed a problem with their implementation of a certain piece of software. Now I work my ass off at Ford, I finally make my grandparents proud as they used to work at the Ford plant and now I am too working on the same machines they did. Now I keep that US bank account and I deposit money into my savings like you're supposed to, and I'm saving up for a house for me and my girlfriend because I want to have a house before I propose. Since I live in SJ, where all the tech jobs are houses are really expensive, and the self driving car startup that's backed by Ford is located out there. So I'm saving up for a down payment on a house, I'm saving a lot of money. Combined with all the money I'm saving for my future kids college fund and all the other money I have in the bank I'm over the 250k limit which isn't much in SJ, the down payment on the house is expected to be like over 250k in San Jose if you want a decent house they start at 2 million, seriously it's like they should build more houses here. So I'm saving up money for the down payment and I'm saving for emergency expenses so I have 6 months salary saved just in case. Now ML engineers make like 250k a year so that's like over 100k. That means I'm over the FDIC limit. Think my situation is unlikely ok maybe. Now imagine you're a startup that has to hire at least 5 of me for your product to work, that's just ml. Not DevOps, web, desktop,cloud, mobile, backend, database, low level or data scientists. THIS IS JUST THE INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDED TO DEVELOP THE THING, not to mention legal, accounting, payroll, management, and everyone else a normal company needs. NOT TO MENTION, the office, the furniture, the computers (we need them for work), gigabit Ethernet, servers themselves (Google, Amazon and Microsoft most profitable divisions are their cloud ones). If you are trying to pay for that with only 250k in your bank account you're crazy. Should all these people lose their jobs because the founder wasn't paying attention when one of their VCs recommended banking with svb. I can live with that. It's part of the game. We allow politicians to do insider trading. My bigger concern is that the silicon valley millionaires got free FDIC insurance they weren't supposed to have. Stopping the executives is easy just don't do business with them. But how do you go about stopping millionaires from stealing from our government through coercion of bank runs throughout the country and circumventing congress who is the only that should be rightfully giving out money?

I believe those funds should be returned to the bank. In addition, those individuals should go to jail.
