In Sweden they got it right and where already talking about the risks in doing what they did in the US and because of that in many other countries like Brazil where I was during the pandemic. So they all new the risk and know they’re alleging ignorance. Sweden talked about children depression, economic risks in the case of populations who are poorer. So just don’t make fools of us.

A large majority (>90%) of the Swedish population approved, endorsed, and complied with the Swedish policies, according to repeated public polls conducted during the pandemic by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency.

I was accompanying the chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell from Brasil and accompanied the response in Brasil, England and the US, these other countries differently from Sweden made it a political battle ground and the result was shocking. Sweden didn’t. They treated it as it should be treated. I talked about it with my friends in Sweden too. In the beginning they made some errors with the old population, that was terrible but after that in my opinion it was much better than most countries. Science and not politics was there take. Here in Brasil it was even worse than in the US. Completely politicized on top on being socially a very complicated country, many poor people just couldn’t stay home and the state governments who opposed the central government made their own laws so it was chaotic.
