I think what many are missing is that although it is not antisemitic to critique the Israeli government (many Israelis do it often!), but calling for the destruction of Israel when the majority of Jewish people live there IS antisemitic. Where are they supposed to go? Also, when universities receiving state and/or federal funding use those resources to put forth an ideology (and only protect some students, not all) that creates a hostile environment and is a Title VI violation. I am a professor and am horrified that some professors think its OK to put forth an oppressor-oppressed ideology while ignoring thousands of years where Jews were oppressed. There is pain on both sides but ALL students should have equal access to education. Why aren't universities trying to educate students about the history of both sides? So little understanding and critical thinking, which is supposed to be the point of education to understand different points of view.

You either know little to nothing about the Holocaust or you are lying to justify your jew hate. It is a war, that Israel didn't start. Yes, there is destruction and death and hunger. Yes, even children are dying. But speaking as a German who gets to live in a free and democratic Germany, I am glad that the Nazis lost. Do you think the allied forces didn't reduce german cities to rubble or kill hundreds of thousands of civilians including children? Hamas is to Gaza as the Nazis are to Germany, and both are extreme in their jew hate (and lets aknowledge that Palestinian civilians largely support Hamas and only decry the consequences of October 7th, not the massacre itself). The accusation of genocide gets repeated loud and unchecked and is frankly not believable by the definition of the word, but there are still 124 hostages in the hands of Hamas and Islamic Jihad. If peace and an end to war and civilian suffering were the objective, why not return the hostages (or better yet, not start a war in the first place)? And in the context of student 'protests', what is the value of harassing jewish students?

But not of the representatives asked about that. My question is, why the selective outrage? Could it be it that these protests are not so much an expression of pro Muslim solidarity, (for why else the silence over China and Myanmar) as one of hatred of Jews?
