In 1 Kings chapter 18 we find the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal. Elijah had prophesied a famine in the land and it hadn't rained in over 3 years. There was a showdown on Mount Carmel between the prophets of Baal and Elijah that ended with The Lord proving to be the true God. Afterwards, Elijah asked his servant to go look out across the sea. 7 times he did this and on the seventh time he saw a cloud the size of a man's hand rising from the sea. Elijah immediately told them to prepare for rain.
So many times we may feel like we're in a drought or a famine. That we're hungry and thirsty and need God to move. Maybe it's been a long time since you've seen God move and you don't know if He will work in your favor. Just keep the faith. Keep looking up and looking for Him to move, and when you see that small cloud rising, that glimmer of hope, know that the rain is on its way.
