Hello :)
This is the requested transcription I've done of the Elton John song "Just Like Noah's Ark". This song comes from his 2006 album "The Captain and the Kid". The bass player on this track was Bob Birch. Tragic story for Bob. May he rest in peace.

I'd never heard this Elton John song before and it grew on me after a while. It's got that blues/rock feel that can be fun to play and is pretty important to have under your fingers.
This song is a lot tougher than it sounds. Those rock and roll slides are kind of tricky (Gb, Ab, Bb section). I found you have to play them "crisply" and you can't spend too much time on the slide.
I love the big open strings he used. Who'd have thought you can play an E natural on a Bb chord or an A on a Eb chord...you can :)
There were a couple of low Eb's that I heard, so it makes me wonder if he used a 5 string? There were only two of them so I notated the song for 4 string but I put the two notes in question in brackets.
I have to say, and I hope Elton won't be offended :) This song has probably one of the worst endings I've ever heard....just awful. And why they had to go up to the IV chord and then back down again?? I read something about the dog was barking in time or something like that but...man oh man. Painful ending....haha!
Have fun with this one. It's a rocker and you can insert as much attitude as you want into it ;)
I hope you enjoy it :)
Don't forget to like and subscribe and thanks for watching :)
