The plaintiff brings her former stepmother to court, and they never had a good relationship. She claims the defendant was jealous of her relationship with her father. The defendant filed a restraining order against the plaintiff. She’s suing for personal property. The defendant argues she’s not withholding any of the plaintiff’s property.

That part IS baffling, IF it’s true. If the spouses had bought the house together, THEN moved their grown children in, it’d add-up. But a “law” that displaces previous deed-title holders from their Own property under terms of “restraint restrictions” just sounds like some banking-extortion scheme the courts & legislators are all in-on to me. The dad & daughter need a better lawyer, OR somehow fell behind on some mortgage payments. Even that doesn’t sound right, though, because if the dad & his 1st wife bought the house, (then added their child’s name to their deed), it should belong to their family-not to the 2nd spouse & hers-restraining orders are for a person’s safety, not enrichment! Why wasn’t she compelled to just leave after 30-45 days of house hunting? Something ELSE was in that case file & wasn’t brought out in the hearing. But they shouldn’t have married-I agree with that finding!! Not enough Q & A going-in, & waaaay too many dependents!

JM HANDLED THIS WRONG , he didn’t even question why she got a restraining order when she didn’t do anything wrong and technically I think she is responsible for the items because countless times in countless cases JM has said where are there items and that person dosent know etc and he tells them well you we’re responsible for her things or his things. I remember a case where someone moved out because of a protection order and came back with police didn’t get some of there things went missing and JM ruled in favour of the plaintiff who’s stuff was missing because the person who owned the place was responsible for it

You are WRONG!!!! Violent video explains restraining order. She's NOT responsible for items since there were other residents; AND, they weren't evicted, COUNSELOR!!!! There are other points you are wrong on; but, two are good for starters.

It’s very difficult to get a protection order granted though, JM knows this therefore the reason why doesn’t matter. For a judge to grant it the defendant’s claims must have been legitimate.

Sometimes daughters will hate EVERYONE that dates their father, i've witnessed it myself. In those cases, the father deserves love, shouldn't be destined to a life of loneliness because their adult child wants to be the "princess of the family". (not saying this is the case here, but it does happen)

I hate how judges handle these cases. It’s pretentious to act as if people’s belongings are trivial. It’s takes people at the bottom of the income scale a long time to get the things that they have.

How is he acting as if belongings are trivial? Wasn't this a case of the belongings being taken (or stolen)? The judgment seemed to be (IMO) based on who took what, not triviality. Am I overlooking something?

I don’t like the way JM handled this case. The plaintiff brought up the altercation in an attempt to tell why she was not allowed to be at the home or retrieve her items. He’s quick to jump in defense mode at times like he is in a bad mood

Then hun saying well others lived there so we don’t know what happened but if the step mom was responsible for returning the left over items and people in the home are wearing the items wouldn’t she be at least partially responsible? It’s just like leaving someone’s stuff outside when you kick then out or whatever they’re responsible for what happens there after I’d consider this being the same for this case

The daughter is a spoiled brat and the wife wasn't going for her foolishness. The dad stayed around all that time supposedly knowing she disliked his child but she had to put them out not the other way around. He in court kissing ssa with the daughter to get along as it probably was the entire relationship. They clearly made that woman miserable. If they had time to get food out the fridge being petty they had time to get her expensive jewelry.

He handled this case all wrong. The dad and step mom were fighting and i didnt even seen any contact just a bunch of yelling. So how did she get an epo on the daughted was well!?! She had to of lied to get it and Judge Mathis missed all that. If the video was the proof the daughter wasn't even in the video. He kills me with these bias rulings!! They ransacked that girls room and i believe the step mom did go through her stuff and gave her stuff away. Plus when she said to "check the niece's facebook page" was a sign she knew what waa going on.
