I had a great time riding on some single track in an area full of amazing trails and have to say I pulled off some sections that were the most technical riding I've ever done on a big bike. I hope you enjoy it because I sure did haha

Great video! Thanks for Sharing! It's always smart to play it safe when riding alone in the woods. Everything immediately changes when you get your gear on and throw a leg over the bike! Cheers! 👍🏻🍻🏍

Great videos, thanks for putting them out! At one point you mentioned your wrists were tired or achy, I was having a similar feel from the stock bars. I went with the Astra bars, less back sweep and a lower rise. Puts you in a more attack position, totally changed the mood on the bike! I ride it like a bigger dumber and squishier 300 now!

Cheers eh, I appreciate you checking out some of my videos! I'll definitely look into those bars, I really like the sounds of them, more time on the bars the better 🤘

@@Rollin_free I've done a fair amount of work and mods to my 890r. The bars were the first and probably best things I've done as far as perceivable performance difference. The stock bars felt like they were designed for old men cruising to Starbucks then a short cruise to a local view point surrounded by Subarus and 4runners; the bars put you into a proper attack position and lock you into the ride. I went with the Aurora 37mm on a BRP mount for the Scotts under bar stabilizer. It lowered the bar height a little and pulled me forward with the reduced back sweep. Would recommend this setup for any aggressive rider between 5'10"-6'2", I'm 5'11" for reference. Enjoy the ride and keep the videos coming!

I have an 890 but have not done much exploring with it because I am so nervous offroad. Need a local bud to ride and learn with lol Dirtchimps and chris birch inspired me aswell but no offroad experience is a challenge XD

It just takes time. When I first got my bike I was nervous about everything. But eventually it all just started to flow naturally. Having said that it's always better to go out with someone. Where are you located?

@@Rollin_free Yeah, lots of work to do. I am in northern western Ontario. Got to ask, what did you settle around for your suspension settings? I am 260-270ish with gear and have mine between comfort and sport settings because I found I was tossed around alot so aimed for a bit softer ride.

Just the power parts one. I don't like it, it is too bulky and chafes my finger

@@Rollin_free Oh, thanks. I chopped and bent the stock one and it’s working ok. I was considering the PP one but maybe not. Do you think you could file it down to make it less bulky? Also which tyres are you using? Those trails look hilarious and totally my bag (*cough* videos on my channel *cough* *gag* lol). :D

@@DanielACroft given enough grinding in sure you could round it out but seems like a lot of effort to me haha. I have the Pirelli Scorpion Rally front and the Dunlop 908 rear, I'm really liking them! Oh cool, I'll check out your channel 🤘

Silly Canadians think 30°C (about 86°F) is too hot to ride. Meanwhile, eastern US is seeing +100° this July and stuck inside in the AC.
