@@mudshroozeBrother, that’s normal. And it will be ok. Maybe you think you’re surrendering, but you have not made porn your enemy. You have not made your flesh your enemy. You have not looked at your desires as the enemy. You can’t just say no to Porn. You have to say No to everything sexual. Down to the bare minimum. Every trigger. Only you know what triggers you. Satan just drops thoughts into your emotions. It’s up to you to allow your emotions to stay at a neutral position or to allow them to spike into Sin. You have to wage war against yourself and see it as a challenge. To conquer yourself is (next to being a follower of Christ) the hardest thing a Man can do. Wage war on your yesterday’s self. Also your response to you falling into temptation can either shoot you light years forward in your progress or keep you stagnant or fall back. You have to think “I messed up but God is with me. He knows my struggle. And He ALWAYS gives you a way out. He ALWAYS gives you more than just one way out. You have to take advantage of turning off your device and walking away physically and mentally and emotionally. You have to detach. It’s a work in progress. But your No’s get easier the more you do it. And the more you do it, the more it becomes your enemy. Follow how Jesus responded when he was tempted in the wilderness. It will help. God bless and I will pray for you. You have to believe in the renewing of your mind. You have to believe in the change the Holy Spirit can give you. It takes time. Just be patient. He sees you struggling. But it is solely up to you to give up your desire and seek Life and Truth.

Addiction is no joke, and yes sometimes God completely liberates people from their addiction for some time (happened to me as well, most ppl call it the honeymoon phase), but that doesn't mean that's the norm or that it's all gone forever. God wants to test you and harden you, he gave you free will for a reason. He won't take away your sin forever, but he will aid and guide you in overcoming it. And remember, even though God forgives your sins when you repent and confess, the earthly consequences of sin remain. Addiction is not mainly a spritual issue, it's deeply pshychological. Not intoxication, not nudity in movies, not social media, not dirty jokes, not a double take at one of God’s daughters that may be lost, not intoxication that weakens your will. Pursue righteousness all costs, because to do otherwise costs all. Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven. It is foreign to dissolve these things from your life, but it is beautiful when the actual breath of God is breathed onto your life and you are healed. Jesus says upon healing “Go and sin no more” and that “new wine isn’t to go into old wine skins”. You must make your steps away from what fuels lust and sin if you expect healing. I have seen the light.

Hi dear it is not about saying or professing it. It takes the Grace of God to stand. Some important decision needs to be taken and you need to be willing to discipline yourself by putting away everything that tends to stare up the urges. You don't keep fire under your bossom and expect not to get hurt. I was once a porn addict and believe me I made a lot of confessions that I was going to stop but I couldn't because the things that always made me stumble were close by( immoral friends, dirty movies, filthy sites, music, novels e.t.c) Until I put away these things then I received grace to overcome. i had struggled so much with lust and pornography that i’ve just given up and let it happen. i would try to use all this motivation and Bible verses to help but it was always an upward battle. i eventually just fell into it again doing it once a day and ignoring the weak convictions i was getting. but i’m taking the reigns back, im taking my spirit back, i’m taking my Christ back and i wont succumb. i had hardened my heart so many times eventually God hardened my heart for me like he did to pharaoh, and i didn’t even put up a fight. Hi dear I also had similar experience with yours. Firstly, I had the agree with myself that ' by strength shall no man prevail ' I wanted to get close with Christ but I felt I needed to be free from pornography and lust before I could come before his presence. I was deceived I tried all I could humanly speaking but still end up going back to my vomit. I got delivered by coming to God the way I was , surrendering myself and asking him to wash me with his pure water( Eph 5:26). I found grace to stay away from things and people that tend to stir up the urge. I surrounded myself with Godly companies, that is, brethren who held my hands and helped me fight. I intentionally spend time reading God's word so that my mind could be renewed. It's been 3years now and I haven't gone back one last time. 😢 God is faithful. Don't give up in Him cos he won't give up on you.

I struggled w pornography and it started when I was very young. It was such a battle but Jesus gave me the victory over it🙏🏾 he was so patient and loving and continued to love me. Pray, occupy your mind with the bible, find friends around you in which you can grow your fait. You can even have someone set up a protective password for you. Its not easy as i struggled with Lust as early as i can remember and by the glory of God I'm finally tired of abusing his grace. 2 timothy 2:3 Endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

If you were to change His attribute of omnibenevolent to occassionally benevolent, then it is no longer the same God. The reason being that God, as a totality, is capable of being His attributes, while also being superior to His attributes. This is the case for love. God is the embodiment, and completion of love; therefore, love clouded by human judgement is not a direct manifestation of God, as it is rather an incomplete reflection of God. Hi dear Thus was how I got delivered. Firstly, I had the agree with myself that ' by strength shall no man prevail ' I wanted to get close with Christ but I felt I needed to be free from pornography and lust before I could come before his presence. I was deceived I tried all I could humanly speaking but still end up going back to my vomit. I got delivered by coming to God the way I was , surrendering myself and asking him to wash me with his pure water( Eph 5:26). I found grace to stay away from things and people that tend to stir up the urge. I surrounded myself with Godly companies, that is, brethren who held my hands and helped me fight. I intentionally spend time reading God's word so that my mind could be renewed. It's been 3years now and I haven't gone back one last time. 😢 God is faithful. I think you should ponder in this👇 It indeed takes the Grace of God to stand. Some important decision needs to be taken and you need to be willing to discipline yourself by putting away everything that tends to stare up the urges. You don't keep fire under your bossom and expect not to get hurt. I was once a porn addict and believe me I made a lot of confessions that I was going to stop but I couldn't because the things that always made me stumble were close by( immoral friends, dirty movies, filthy sites, music, novels e.t.c) Until I put away these things then I received grace to overcome. What can I do when I want to believe but I can't? Its been more than a year from God and I want to live righteously and do the best I can to emulate Christ in life because my experiences so far have confirmed that sins are sins for a reason and they truly bring death to everything, both metaphorical and physical. The problem is I have all of these emotions towards God and the world in general. I lost my older brother 6 months ago in a car accident, and ever since then I have felt nothing but hatred for God. How could he allow this? How could he snuff out a life as it was just beginning, before he was able to live out or fulfill any of his dreams or aspirations? The preacher told me that since he wasn't a believer then he was in Hell. Even though he was a good person, he is going to suffer in Hell for eternity. My big brother, who practically raised me, is in Hell forever. After hearing those words I haven't set foot in a church since. Just the notion of it is disrepectful to his memory and thinking about it tears at my soul. My brothers death (and perhaps the lack of God) became a catalyst for fucking up my life. The past year completely changed me, I fell into alcoholism and not soon after onto harder substances. My priorities were shifted to the wrong places, I was more focused on getting high and partying than actually paying attention in my classes or looking after my girlfriend. I gained 30 pounds from just the amount of alcohol I would drink on a normal basis. I almost lost my girlfriend due to my own lust, and even if I still have her with me I can tell that her perception of me is tainted (and it's all my fault). At the end of the day, as I am right now I am disgusting. I'm a disgusting ball of flesh with no real substance inside. I'm nothing but a fucking junkie. I want to be better. I can't live like this for the rest of my life, but also I'm hesitant to even believe in religion in the first place. I think that at the very least what Jesus taught holds massive significance. Looking at him is like looking at a direct guide to living life. But I have so much difficulty maintaining that. It's like every single deadly sin applies to me. I want to believe but I can't, but also I don't know if I even deserve salvation. But even so, I desperately want to believe that I can see my brother again. It's been almost a year and just the thought of him still makes me tear up.

Look man, i confess that im not as wise as id like to be, but ill try and help. When it comes to sin, the bible says that our heart leans to evil and our flesh desires sin. That is why we must never walk the path that our heart desires. "As long as it makes you happy" or "you only live once" are frases that youd hear before doing something you regret. By sining we were destined to hell, but God loved us in such a way that he gave his only son to die on the cross, so that whoever believed in him would not die, but have eternal life. Because of his sacrifice we are set free and are forgiven if we ask for forgivness. I incourage you to have time alone with God daily, get to know him. God says that if you lean in to him, if you truly seek him, you shall find, and he will lean near to you. Seek and you will find. And as of fighting the temptations of this world, seek Jesus, seek help in him. Pray to God so that he gives you strengh to win the temptations. The bible says that if you resist the devil, he will flee from you. Dont try and fight alone because without God, we cant win. Also dont put yourself in situations that will make it easy for you to sin or to feel tempted. I know what it feels like to feel disgusting and unworthy, and the truth is, we are. Not a single man who enters heaven is worthy of it. Thats why Jesus came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, took ALL of our sins onto him, and died with them. The wages of sin is death, and Jesus died with our sins, he payed our price, and ressurected on the third day! That is the good News! We are not worthy, but God had mercy on us, and if we believe we will be saved!! Isnt that amazing!? Look man, you dont have to live a life chained down by sin. Jesus Crist can set you free, i can promise you that. Give your life to him and follow his word. Have a relationship with him because that is why we exist. When God wanted to create fish, he spoke to the water, and fish cant live without water. When he wanted to create plants, he spoke to the earth and plants cant live withou earth. And here comes the interesting part: when he wanted to create man, he spoke to Himself/the Holy Trinity ( God the Father, God the Son ( Jesus ) and the Holy Spirit). This means that we cant truly live without him. Let me tell you: all my Joy, and all my hope comes from Jesus. He is the everlasting and everflowing fountain of hope and Joy. Whoever drinks from him will not be thirsty again. Live for him, accept him into your heart, and have a relationship with him. Talk to him like he is your friend. Its the best decision ive ever made, and im sure it will be yours too. Have a good one!
