G'day Rikki, first time viewer, long time JOMW subscriber. Great interview! What's pleasing is how genuine you both are - so much of content created nowadays, as you aluded to, is either clickbait or people putting on a persona. I get that there's risks, being yourself in your content, but that's what makes it so much more relatable! None of this nonsense about your Lambo breaking down - pish! Jody's a cut of my own cloth - I love watches in general, but especially affordable watches. I find it much more difficult to justify spending big money on a watch, unless it really justifies its price tag (big money is of course subjective), so I set a lot of store in the value of a watch. I love my Orients and Seikos, but I'm not above a good AliExpress diamond in the rough or microbrand! Keep it up lads, I look forward to future collaborations!

Excellent podcast episode, haven't heard or watched you before, got recommended due to Jody being it it! I notice your voice is very bassy, so much I had to reduce the bass on my speakers. Maybe adjust your audio mix a little bit? :) Will keep watching more episodes for sure.

Thanks for the feedback, I didnt notice it being too harsh when editing (Focusrite Scarlett and KRK Rokit 5 monitors) but the SM7b does love the proximity effect so I've dialled it down in the settings for future shows :)

Jodi Is awesome he gets all kinds of watches and he does really good watch reviews. I have always been into watches and guitars but I had a midlife crisis and a maniac episode and my life just went all fucked sorry about the language but that was how it was. I sold all of my guitars because I just thought what is the point. Anyway like I said I have always loved watches and I started to collect them and it then turned into a problem but I’ll work it out so thanks for being as messed up as me. I just hope that I live long enough 😅😢😂

I’m glad to hear you calling out the disgrace that was the Hamtun Kraken H3. It is really disgusting that Ross has absconded with hundreds of thousands of British pounds at the cost of his loyal supporters who have been left with nothing in return. It is worth noting that he ran his campaign in the first months of the global pandemic when people’s livelihoods and income were very uncertain. A lot of people had to think long and hard before being able to justify the cost of the project, and their faith was very poorly placed in this man. Backers can deal with delays, but outright theft is another story altogether.

You don't turn a long form video into a short. You take some great moments from a vid/podcast and cut the rest. Just watch the vid and look for the nugget of info that people would watch or some off the cuff moment that can grab attention. Doesn't have to have a full story or all the info of the vid.

As far as the Shorts thing... I cant stand them, but if KZbin is "pushing" them... that means they'll probably help you in the algorithm if you make them. So you don't have to make them amazing, just show a watch you're about to review and blather for about 30 seconds. What I'm saying is... do it for KZbin favor, not necessarily because you wanna bang out great content. You can reserve your passion/good content for the actual videos. Just my $0.02.
