What kinda of paper/plastic material are you using for the registration?

It's called registration tape, I got it from Ryonet.

what screens did you use for the white ink and for the red ink

I used a 160 mesh for white and a 230 for red, but I probably could've just used 160 for both.

Can I ask what you're doing with the platen from 0:25 - 0:40?

I'm tearing off old pallet tape and applying a new layer, which makes it easier to apply adhesive so it so it doesn't get all over the actual platen. Easy clean up.

I have this press and the registration is horrible! How long does it take you? Have you found a way to get the off contact even all around? Mine is always at a crazy angle! Do you struggle with printing with an underbase with this thing? Ugh takes me an hour to register with underbase and I can still see it. 🤦🏾‍♀️

I have since moved on to a different press with micro registration. But yeah, it took a while for me to register on this one. Probably 30-60 minutes for just a 2 color print. I would put quarters on each corner of the plallet to set the off contact, but it still wouldn't be perfect. I could print with an underbase just fine, but yeah it takes time to set it up. Much easier for me now that I have a press with micro registration!

i love you channel, i recently got the 150, but its been a pain to align the screen, I'm considering selling and buy the kicker press on nevertheless with the micro adjustments upgrade.

Thanks! Yeah I'm definitely feeling that. I think the 150 is good to get started but micros are where it's at. I really need to upgrade soon, but I haven't decided on what press to go with yet.

Hey good day, Can you give me the mesh count you use for different application. Eg. for the base and different colors. I order the 150 and want to know the type of screen and best size to buy.

For the underbase I usually go with a 110 mesh, for colors on top I generally go with 160 mesh. Unless it's a higher detail graphic, like with halftones or weathering, then I'd go up to 230.

Micros or XY micros (because the tilt is adjustable) is/are such a simple system, I’m determined to come up with an adapter to get at least .25” of adjustment for this press.

I usually keep the height at 4", the speed at 15, and the heat at 5.5.
