When I heard about this the first time I was already quite into a playthrough. I used a car to get back into Konpeki Plaza and climb my way back up just to get that egg.

I'm pretty sure they added this at some point. I don't remember the iguana nor the egg being in Yorinobu's apartment even quite some time after the game's premiere. Edit: Right, it was supposed to be in the game but wasn't, and it got restored in patch 1.5.

Try going somewhere far away from your apartment and then skip time to 90 in-game days, then go back to the apartment
