The price increased to $400 at some retailers, but you can still find it for around $315+S/H at a few websites (Do It Best, Hardware World, etc). I went with this TS over the Dewalt DWE7485 that sells for $400. I wanted a 10" table saw with a decent fence and this checked the boxes.

I went back and forth between getting a dewalt 10-inch table saw or this skil table saw. I took a leap of faith and purchased this skil ! After using it and putting it through the paces, I can tell you with complete honesty. This table saw is awesome! The stand is rock solid, and all the cuts I made were dead on. This saw replaced my old dewalt 10-inch table saw that I purchased used on Craigslist over 3 years ago. It basically gave up the ghost a few months ago. It had a hard life before I got it, but it still worked and cut perfectly fine. However, the motor died. I can tell you this saw that while it's not a dewalt, does everything the dewalt does only its less money. Yes, the rip cut is less than the 32 inches the dewalt cuts, but honestly, I can't remember how many times I've actually needed the whole 32 inches. More importantly, its depth of cut is deeper at 3 1/2 compared to dewalts 3 1/8. My only recommendation is to replace the stock blade as the one that comes with it has tear out when cutting. This is common anyway with stock blades.

Just ordered this from walmart yesterday & they say tomorrow delivery,reviews are stellar,gonna replace my cheap 20 year old $75 saw which built everything, to me theres no such thing as pro & consumer ,I used the cheap saw on endless jobs with no problem the saw doesnt care who is using it or what u named it,walmart online shopping is getting very good & faster than amazon reg shipping

Great video, I was looking into this saw as my option. Hows the miter gauge? Since a lot of brand's, they tend to be a bit flimsy. I ended up buying the Ridgid jobsite table saw for a few reasons but especially the price since it dropped $200 at HD for the holidays... you guys should do a review on that...

The saw is awesome. Lightweight, fence, adjustable riving knife, the legs(!), carry and store it on its side. Con: the saw plate insert is plastic and flexes in middle. Had to run fence on left to do shoulder cuts to match a tongue and groove floor piece. Otherwise super happy with it.

@Tools In Action Uhhhh, ya' know, If that damn TV is driving you too crazy, you could take a photo of that screen...print it out and make a setup where you film the photo onto a cheap 8GB thumbdrive and plug that baby in and play that while you make videos. Im contemplating buying this saw, my only complaint is I dont like that the fence lock is a giant red paddle. I thought it was the off/emergency stop button. Sure, you should know the on and off of your saw but im guessing theres a reason everyone else makes the OFF a giant red button? Edit: 8:50 it looks like you also tried to stop it with the fence lock. Apparently my thought was worth having.

Sorry but that a really silly comment. NO ONE that knows a table saw is going to push the lock lever to try and turn it off. And your example was wrong, he was putting the push stick away in its location NOT TRYING TO TURN IT OFF WITH THE GUIDE LOCK.

Hey I know you guys are experts so cutting your fingers will never happen. But I think for those who are new to cutting might take your cutting wood with out safety fixtures on will give them false hope and they might think they will never cut them selfs so other than that thanks for the review. I just bought one came in mail today 10 /23 /2020 not to happy that they sent me one with a defective table top it looked as it was broke some how then filled in with aluminum then sanded down then repainted not sure how they would think no one will notice.

Table saw is useless unless fence extends to 24". Been using rigid for 5 years its showing its age as a contractor. Its either buying exact same saw or Dewalt. Was hoping for other option.

Actually I just got this off amazon, (delivered 10/27). I was looking for the dewalt 10" that was $365 at home depot, but it appears that was discontinued. The only 10" dewalt now comes with the stand only and is approx. $550. I will update, but setup was quick, the table is pretty flat only but is about 1/32" dip toward the blade. I made a small adjustment to the measurement arrow as it was 3 thousands off true. Fence is good, blade was rubbish but who doesn't switch that out. Test cuts came out great, the miter gauge is just so-so. Everything else seems just like the dewalt except it was only $320 delivered. Edit: Update 12/15/20 Finished building coffee table and 2 end table set for living room. The saw worked very well. Coming from an entry level Ryobi, the accuracy of the rack and pinion was fantastic. I have no idea about longevity at this time as it is only a few months old, but it did get quite a workout as I ripped all lumbar to final dimensions needed for set. The tables were made from 2x4, 2x6, and 2x2. The dust collection worked well, not perfect but a lot better than the Ryobi. It accepts a 2.5" shopvac hose catching over 95% of the dust. I have an 8 gallon shopvac and it was completely full after all the rips. I will say I am a little skeptical of the insert and haven't gotten around to coming up with a zero clearance yet. This did cause some issues as some rips were thin for final dimensions and did fall into the insert next to the blade. Overall for the price, I wouldn't expect much more and other than the insert I believe it is comparable to the old Dewalt 10" that was discontinued.
