In 2017, after a performance we gathered in a closed hallway with excellence acoustics. We sang an a-cappella version of Hallelujah with the hope of bringing joy to others. #choir #sing #singing #christmas #acapella #hallelujah

My favorite this about this is how they were just vibing with each other. They knew they sounded great and the acoustics were awesome. They were each feeding off the groups passion and intensity. They just really came together for such a beautiful piece and they totally nailed it.

I don't care where I am, what the temperature is, who is around me, there is something about the incredibly layered harmonics, chords, and acoustics that makes me get the most intense goose bumps and full body vibrations. It is a literal observable physical reaction for the entire video. That's significant given the fact that the majority of times a chord hits you whilst listening to something, you get the feels for like just that chord or a verse or the completion of a musical phrase... but the whole entire song? nope. It's not a thing. It's a moment in history where all the planets aligned mercury was in super upside down retro-retro grade and then all the planets stopped spinning for just a moment out of awe and respect because they so needed this to be introduced to the universe. Fucking phenomenal. And the 2:39ish mark... I just cannot. So poignantly executed and punctuated with the most powerful beat of silence... man it's just executed so well. It's that performance you only dream of getting maybe once in a lifetime and we get to see them experience it in real time. It's a moment captured that is filled with palpable somberness and delivered with an incredibly gorgous tension that can never be reproduced.

Spencer, I hope this message finds you well... In the winter of 2018. Just before Christmas. My family found out that my Grandmother, on my moms side had cancer. And although I prayed hard for her health and recovery, she lost her battle in January 2019, having just turned 90 only a few days prior. It was within this time frame of trying to stay strong for my mom and other family members, that I had come across VHHS version of Hallelujah that absolutely lifted me up from my knees. You and and everyone else in the choir should be 100% proud of yourselves for bringing so much light into such a dark time in mine. Wishing you and everyone else the best in life. -Brandon

I’ve been looking for my favorite Acapella O’ Holy Night and listened to so many versions; out of EVERY song I heard and felt (professional and otherwise) this is my absolute favorite. The emotionality, the feeling and expressiveness heard and most importantly felt, is divine and absolutely, infinitely beautiful. This brought tears to my eyes. Thank you all for this and for being You! Wish there was more of you All singing. Also, lead male voice- your voice is angelic and oh I wish I could listen all day!

Hamsters, reviews, and talking oh my Doesn't matter that you're not religious, the song doesn't have an actual religious connotation if you read through ALL of the lyrics. The narrator obviously is not a believer of God and Leonard Cohen used the biblical stories as references in the song to allow the reader to understand just how violent and intense the relationship (in the song) was. 😊
