So true, we are our own worst enemies. We worry about so much, and most of those things we worry about don't come to pass anyway. So we make ourselves sick with worry for nothing. So true, we need to enjoy life more. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hope you had a blessed one and have a blessed New Year.

Speaking of reading. I found great enjoyment in Louis L’Amour as a child. I usually have 2 books going at a time. One for learning and one for entertainment. Do you read anything purely for enjoyment? Or is the enjoyment from learning?

I have a question. Many times during and after I smoke my pipe, I get pain in the top left part of my chest. It lasts for 4 to 5 hours after smoking. It is not heart related because I had a full workup after experiencing this a couple of years ago. Any ideas from the community?

I've seen the quote attributed to Hunter S. Thompson as well and took it at face value, because it quite accurately sums up his approach to life. Upon further investigation this seems to be a common misattribution, spread widely across the internet, with the true author remaining unknown.
