So my theory of the meaning of this... The wolf is death, death holds off in claiming her because it sees either a possible future in her or in her daughter mel. Then we see her challenged by pantheon. I bet this is pantheon the god, not atreus the man. Represents war testing her. Also swain and katarina makes sense cuz it was is possibly Katarina that killed her son. Also Swain represents the political environment that tests her. Then finally death itself tests her. Death is chosing to keep her alive because of a possible future where she could be chosen to be a new aspect or maybe Mel. 😉

My interpretation is that because of the wounds she has on this aftermath war scene she sees the representation of the wolf/death is coming for her, somehow she fights to survive.. thats where we get all the trippy scenes of her battling, seeing herself on a throne willing to do anything to survive so the lamb intervenes, and marks the baby for death instead. She’s pregnant with Mel’s brother Kino, who we learn in season 1, died after crossing a powerful man that means Kino saved her life but she couldn’t save his.

How I interpret the music video: In a near death state, it seems Ambessa's consciousness went to a type of "Valhalla" (realm of honorably fallen warriors), was tested, and was proven worthy of joining the pantheon of "Wolf's Chosen" in the afterlife (past, present, and possible future). But then her unborn child (likely Mel), which appears to have magical powers, was able to subconsciously use its magic to resuscitate Ambessa and brought her back from her near death state / "Valhalla".

Man I hate DEI forced characters that are just there to check a box, that's the criticism of DEI. Thankfully Ambessa isn't this as she actually has some good lore & personality so far.

The thing is, that it doesn't matter how good lore and personality she has, for those people I aimed the jab at, they will still forever cry DEI lol

@@LanokirX I am sure that there are people like that but I would hazard to say that they are more rare than you would think. Most people are just really, really, really tired of seeing stories with potential massacred for the sake of "representing the world as it is today" instead of focusing on telling a good story and within its bounds, having diverse characters. I myself was surprised when Arcane came out and I watched some KZbinrs I thought might rip into it due to it being diverse and whatnot and boy was I mistaken. They were singing praises of the series because it has a good story with good characters that happen to be this or that, instead of that trait being the whole character.
