They don't find the songs, Nick. They are written/produced for the cinematics. The yearly cinematics where you see champions are done to hype the current season of the game. The Worlds songs/music videos are to promote the World Championship, which happens every year and features teams from NA/EU/KR/CN and other regions. You can check out the opening ceremonies for some tournaments to get an idea, like Worlds 2018 and 2019.

Fun Facts for ya: Imagine Dragons were big league fans and were involved in a bit of their music early on. It's why they were likely involved in Arcane. Studio Fortiche (Arcane Studio) started off doing some of these videos for Riot before they did Arcane. Rise, Warriors, Get Jinxed, Ekko - Seconds, K/DA Pop/Stars were them. When you said "can I invest into the league cinematic team?" you unironically are watching where Arcane's studio began. There's a whole league universe page if you want to see all the ~150 champs and read short stories/lore. The universe is massive and an MMO is in production (5+yrs off) Worlds videos tell stories about the players and the Pro Scene's history. Characters in the Worlds videos are pro players. Faker is heavily featured in most cuz he's the best League Player of all time.

Important thing to notice is that alot of characters appear in their "skin form". for example the odyssey cinematic is each champions skin of the odyssey. the orange haired girl was jinx - odyssey jinx. same with the light and shadow cinematic where the lizard girl(neeko) was fighting the bird couple with the wings from before.

One thing i noticed while watching is that you didnt realize some of these Animations are Skin Preview Trailers for Different skinlines. For example, Xayah and Rakan (the bird characters you really liked) were also in the Star Guardian videos, but showcasing their skins. League of Legends skinlines tend to exist in their own Multiverses and each one carries its own lore. Which is why Jinx had Orange hair, Showcasing her Odyssey skin and had a crew travelling through space

Fun fact the group K/DA is comprised of REAL artists, namely Miyeon and Soyeon of (G)I-dle, Madison Beer and Jaria Burns mainly, and a few other voices who voice the same characters like Kim Petras, Bea Miller, Bekuh Boom (plus another member who has their own story but hasn't been seen yet). The group is effectively a real music group (in universe and in reality) that is comprised of 100% fictional personas (Like Gorillaz) The four main characters are as follows: Ahri, the Nine Tailed Fox girl, who uses who uses her charisma and agility to manipulate her opponents and disorient them. Evelyn the succubus who preys on men and women alike using the form of an attractive human female to lure them in. Akali the agile ninja and trained assassin Kai'Sa who when she was a child was exposed to the Void and survived through sheer determination and willpower. In K/DA however their stories are different. Ahri was actually the founder and is the leader of K/DA. She was incredibly terrified of failure and once she started K/DA, she was able to share that success with her friends, but she still has self-doubts about letting her friends down if the whole K/DA thing doesn't work out. Evelyn was the second member and was actually an artist before K/DA but had disagreements with other music groups. She tried a solo career for a while but ended up catching up with Ahri and joined K/DA. She has a bad girl attitude, a large exotic car collection, and serves as a main vocalist. Originally, the group was composed of just her and Evelyn but after a while Akali an underground rapper was scouted by Ahri after she stumbled upon one of her track releases and serves as the fast vocalist of the group. Shes actually bilingual (maybe trilingual?) and switches between languages WHILE rapping. She is also the founder of TRUE DAMAGE and its lead vocalist. The next to join the group (but not the last teehee) was Kai'Sa. She doesn't talk much, even to the other members of K/DA because she traveled a lot as a child, and it gave her an unusual accent, but she still likes to sing, though the meaning of her lyrics is left to the imagination of everyone because she doesn't delve deep into it. She also serves as the main dancer of the group, and handles all of the choreography.

not sure how you're missing these but you've seen characters from one video, and see them again in the NEXT video. you called ahri a furry, you saw her in light and shadow with a song from hiroyuki, then next video after that is her star guardian ahri video and you counted her tails, then you see pop/stars and can't recognize the tail. yes, you don't play league and i understand that. if you watch all the videos again, you'll start to notice that you've seen some characters multiple times. just like ryze, the one you call like a depressed kratos. also, from one of the earlier comments. you should definitely see those opening ceremonies for each of the worlds tournaments.

Pentakill was originally a collab between the bands Masterplan & Dragonforce, they had ingame skins that made a few characters look like a Metal band & hired the two bands to produce an album with league related music (ingame sounds sampled, references, etc) which imo has some of the best stuff both bands have produced. Riot kept up with it, sometimes bringing in different bands & artists for new albums when future Pentakill skins come out

So I feel like I should give some context for the music video stuff. Typically the music videos are made for Worlds (which is essentially the playoffs for pro league of legends and it ends with the super bowl of league of legends). There are 2 songs that are made for worlds. The first song are the World anthems, these anthems are made as hype intros and they play the anthem throughout the tournament as well as previous anthems. Then you have the closing ceremony/celebration song. The closing ceremony songs (Popstars, Giants) are typically in conjunction with skin lines that drop in game and they typically have a band theme. That theme is also somewhat regional. When Popstars dropped it was because worlds was played in Korea which is why K-Pop was the genre used. When Giants was dropped it was played in the EU which is why it has a bit of UK Rap (the korean rapping was because the character Akali in the musical skinline universe has True Damage as a side project of sorts) TL;DR every cinematic has layers of lore and context to go with it and if something doesn't make sense it's because you might lack the context

Best thing about this video is all the characters are designed after the players the main guy (Ambition) defeated on the way to the World championship they won that year. The nice detail of "I'm still here" is that all parts we can see the arrow of the lamb (the kindreds). When Yasuo accepts his death, and a shinning white arrow comes, is Kindred's arrow. THAT'S A FREAKKIN Lore bro! ahh, for those who don't know anything about League Of Legends, the Kindreds is a playable character that represents DEATH itself. They have one of the best lores of the entire game. It's a lamb and a wolf. When the person who will die accept his death, the lamb comes to take your soul gently. But of course, many try to avoid death. In this cases, the wolf come to take your soul by force. In the lore there is no way to escape the Kindreds, you can only chose the way they will take you. You can check more lookin on google for "the kindred phrases" or even look for the lore, i bet someone made a video about them

54:36 it's crazy how accurate this is lmao. That character is Zoe, and she was offered a portal to the top of Mount Targon around age 12 or 13 or so, and basically became immortal. Typically heroes who attempt to climb Mount Targon will fail or if they do make it to the top they're changed in some way forever. She's technically 500 years old stuck a preteen body as some angelic figure. Jumping through portals is a big theme of hers and is her ultimate move in the game itself.

Those are cinematic trailers about the game and lore. -Worlds clip: Each year, there is an international competition, the Worlds. They make a music video featuring the players and/or famous moments, and/or game characters. -Champions trailers: Trailer to announce a new playable champion or a major update on a champion, such as Get Jinxed, or Ekko: Seconds. -Random lore videos such as The Curse Of The Sad Mummy, or Call Of Power. -Skin trailers: The game has a cosmetics system. A single character has buyable (with real money) cosmetics to change its appearance and VFXs. They are called "Skins". They sometimes get a group of skins out, and make a video about it, such as K/DA Pop stars, True Damage - Giants, Mortal Reminder, or Light And Shadows. The musics are not selected for the clips, but made for the clips. The game has a lore. Every character you see has a place in it. And the skins are considered "parallel universes" kinda. They are just something else.
