Thank you so much for this. My drafting table is cluttered with all my mixed media supplies. I felt too overwhelmed to know where to start. I picked those simple items, and put the rest in a box. The simplicity helped me focus, and limiting the supplies gifted me also with a clear surface for many more projects to come!

I always feel like without a focal point it's not finished, but I really don't enjoy adding focal points because making a background with just a few words or a quote in there is most exciting part. Your result is lovely and does show you don't need many products to craft. 'Stop buying stuff' is my 2020 resolution

I have never known about your books nor your education. I only watch youtube to learn skills n artistic ideas. I do not use instagram,x,nor facebook…they suck your hours away. I even gave up pinterest cuz it kept me from looking up stuff I want to know. So plenty of people also do not know about your beautiful books. VERY TEMPTING!

Okay, you finally got me to create with you. I still don't have gesso, or white paint or the textures which make your art so awesome but I at least started. I worked with one magazine (supplies on hand) ripping and arranging pieces into a collage. I finished with inking a design over it in white & black lined in white. I like it. It was quick and successful I'd say.

I am so blown away by your creative process. I have 3 brand new Dylusions journals that I purchased when I discovered Dyan Reaveley. I ve been fascinated by Art Journaling process videos ever since. Thing is my 3 beautiful books aren't like yours or Dyan's... They've aged some. They've been with me for around 8-10 months and I truly love them, especially the black one with the black pages.( I've seen people do amazing black pages.) I know if I could do a spread like this I'd love my journals EVEN MORE. Yet I'm still stuck in the binge watching everybody else create. All 3 of my beloved dyaries are exactly as they were when I purchased them; brand new neatly stacked on my shelf. 😢 Sorry for the tyrant, I really just wanted to tell you how impressed I am with your process and how I appreciate your taking the time to share with us such phenomenal content.
