It’s funny. I approached it exactly that way. I found an old toy that belonged to my son and decided to list it…just to learn. I’ve sold many items since then, but that first one is still in my store. Never sold 😆 There’s a lesson in there somewhere.

Absolutely, people, especially new sellers, they go crazy when they hear of a "BOLO" item; they buy 20/30 and 100 of the item. Unless they do very competitive pricing, they are stuck with all that inventory. Many even become Hoarders. Do you really have to go to the bins daily? No, especially if you are only selling two items a week or in a month, though you have good items. We need to slow down, clean up what we have, donate what isn't moving and stick to a couple of specialties, unless you are selling vintage mixed items.

Ebay has been one project besides my crafts that ive stuck with and am seeing redults. Listing at least 5 a day has been huge! Im selling stuff i never thought would sell. Ive sold over $400 in my first 2 months. I know what it takes to continue to grow. I love Ebay, its so fun and rewarding!

Listening to you Chris talk with such enthusiasm, dedication and challenge to yourself, is truly inspiring. I can't help but wonder if you have heard of Robert Greene and his talks/book on Mastery? People don't become masters of their craft or art by giving up; it's the staying power through all the obstacles and failures, and the willingness to learn from mistakes that gets you there. Another great, useful video. Thank you!

Great advice! Looking forward to this series. I am digging out from overbuying. You helped me realize today that I just need to stop overthinking. It only leads to being overwhelmed. Pick a box, list an item. List another. Next box. Become a "Robot" - a money making machine I mean.😅🎉 Thanks for keeping it real❤

Absolutely love your content. Would love to get your thoughts on how to apply some of your strategies into my business as a retail store that sells products that I hand make. I know scaling would be more challenging and may look different but I would like to know how to just get consistent sale in the space that I’m in. Thank you soooo much for all that you share! You are awesome!

Thanks for this video. I grew up on wearing garage sale clothes & learned how to shop & save buying at thrift stores & garage sales for my kids clothes. My kids who are adults now are doing the same buying thrift store & garage sales clothes for themselves. I knew about eBay in the 1990’s but with me disliking computers I put it off learning if I could be a seller. Now today I wish I could of been one of those with a big business on eBay. I’m thinking of starting to sell on eBay this year. I’ve had my business last year but sold on a different platform. Thanks for this video it helps for me to take the leap & start on eBay. I remember buying a dress for myself in the 1990’s at Savers & Mondays were .99 day with a certain tag color. I found a dress that had the original tag on for $100 & I bought it for .99. Back then I thought what a bargain I had no idea that would of been good to resell. I also bought name brand clothes for my kids for .99 at that same store & .25 to .50 at garage sales. I figure why pay full price for brand name items when I can save getting them cheaper at thrift stores & garage sales. No one will know you didn’t pay full price for them. I had a lady come up to me at church asking where I buy my pretty dresses from. She’s a wife of a CPA. I wasn’t embarrassed to say I buy my clothes at Goodwill & Savers. She was shocked to know that those stores carried nice things. I had a friend telling me her kids aren’t ever going to wear second hand clothes. Once you think about it it’s already second hand because people try them on at the mall so literally they have been worn already for a bit. I also did this bargain shopping buying my groceries too. It saved a lot of money. To this day I still shop at thrift stores for myself & watch the prices on groceries. Yeah it’s alot to learn on eBay. My kids laugh at me writing things down on paper instead of using a computer for my inventory. Someday I’ll get there with a spreadsheet. Maybe… Lol 😂 Yeah you gotta try archery. First time I did it I never done it before & I got the bullseye. Now I’m hooked. Lots of fun.

Just curious what size your warehouses are? Thinking about building a 10,000sqft warehouse next year and moving out of my storage units. Putting part of the money down and loan. Payments wouldn’t be much more than the storage unit and over 5x the space.

Hi chris. Just wanted to comment on a recent vid. Ive been watching some of your old vids maybe 2 years old. I have taken so much on board regards my ebay store and wow, i just have to say thankyou for the content you provide. I have quite literally transformed my store and within a few days i have seen a large increase in traffic and sales in my store (its a small store not even designed to make wages but now im focused 😅) my listings are almost in their entirety 1st under promoted listings. My buy nows are getting hit without offers. Did not think i was doing much wrong before but my sales were dead and now, well 🤷 thankyou. Gave me a new focus. Listen closely to this mans advice it really works. Will i earn 100k on ebay maybe not 😆 i have a good job but i think i can certainly earn a very good side hustle and its fun

Hi Chris. Loved this video. I have to ask, How long did it take you to get consistent sales, from day one when you listed your first item, not even knowing how to list it, to couple sales a day? Thank you. PS ALso, in one of your videos you say that consistent listings lead to consistent sales, while in another you said that list according to sales, if sales are low, do not list so we would not end up with 1000 useless items. Can I have some clarity here, please. Thank you ))

Thank you for this, Chris. You are a fabulous mentor who makes people believe in themselves due to your methodology. It is very important that people who want to take reselling seriously, that they are not distracted and continue to follow the methods adopted to gain their independence, enabling them to say goodbye to the normal daily grind and looking forward to something they can build by themselves; something to call their own and be proud of. Again, thank you for everything so far.
