John Michael Osbourne was nicknamed 'Ozzy' as a kid, hence Ozzy Osbourne ... Bassist Terrence Butler earned the nickname 'Geezer' as a teen (He hated the nickname)... Anthony Frank Iommi Jr. shortened his name to Tony Iommi (guitar)... and William Ward shortened his name to Bill Ward (drums)

One of my favorite Black Sabbath songs with one of my favorite lyrics from any band. “You turn to me in all your worldly greed and pride. But will you turn to me when it’s your turn to die.” So many people lie, cheat, steal, backstab, etc, but then they’re holier than thou. Just be a decent person throughout your life. I have it tattooed on my arm around the devil’s face (I was in high school🤷♂️). My friend’s religious father saw it and told me, “You know I can’t tell you I like that. I only hope one day you can have it removed.”

"Snowblind" a track from the 'Volume 4' album released internationally back in 1972 by Black Sabbath is smokin' hot. 🔥The heavy repeating guitar riffs sink deep down in your soul. Guitarist Tony Iommi is superb.👍🎸 The profound bassline and penetrating drumbeats is fire as well. 🔥Drummer Bill Ward is 2nd. to none among his peers.🥁⚡The renowned British groups Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple as known as the "Holy Trinity" ruled the 'hard rock' scene from during the late '60's and into the '70's. At any rate, "Snowblind" is downright mesmerizing 💫 and worth checking out! 🔍🔎🎤🎸🎸🥁🎹🔊🔥🔥☮🎧

Love Sabbath, and your reactions to them. Happy to see you being introduced to such incredible, timeless music. You should definitely check out the three-man Canadian band The Tea Party. I'd suggest starting with 'Sister Awake' (the album version, not the truncated remix for their video). Way back when I did college radio, this song put these images in my head I just couldn't shake, and I've since written three screenplays inspired by it, and their other music too of course, the first of which got me my manager in Hollywood. I've since turned it into a novel (at the suggestion of Gale Ann Hurd, producer of The Terminator franchise, The Walking Dead, etc.) and am currently working on the second novel.

Great job guys. Love your reactions to Sabbath. I know you've been going down the Ozzy road here but you might want to check out their second incarnation with Dio (Ronnie James Dio) as the lead singer. They only did 2 studio albums but many great songs. Favs are #1 - Falling off the Edge of the World #2 - Children of the Sea. Many other great tunes, Heaven and Hell, Voodoo, Mob Rules. Dio is one of the greatest vocalists in Rock history. Passed from stomach cancer in 2010, RIP Dio, 🤘🤘
