me and my friend reached the final boss in the dungeon, we had survived for most of the fight but the boss was so aggressive we couldnt stay near each other so i couldnt give my friend healing or shields most of the fight. eventually he died when the boss was at half health. i didnt have much health myself but the amount of healing abilities and the shield that more than doubles my health let me pull through the boss fight. it was a very, very long fight because i did barely any damage by myself

In my Terraria run with friends, I had chosen the ranger class which has the lowest dps in the game, while my friends were destroying boss health bars with their magic weapons. But their problem was that they would constantly die to things and I would have to stay alive for 30 seconds so they could respawn. We also had the problem of being near each other during fights because the boss would literally just do a complete 180 and switch targets.

I tried something similar in Darktide 40K (I know they can’t respawn, but I was the only one to save them.) I was a level 13 or 14 zealot on tier three difficulty with increased elites I was playing with a friend and two max level randoms I was at the mission where you have to purify the water from the daemon. It was that place where you jump down to some carts and later move the final area. It was a tight area with trains blocking, so there weren’t really any space to move around. I had an ammo pack, an “ok” rifle with no ammo and a big chainsword. I had low health and everyone died. There were 4 rangers (those maniacs with 2 axes each(2 came later)) and 2 crushers (ogryns with mauls that one tap) and 3 bulwarks (the ogryns with shields, the third came later) Firstly 2 rangers and a bulwark. I charge my chainsword and kill one ranger. I dodge around the carts so they only come from one side. I see another bulwark and I kill the second ranger. Then a crusher appears from the side. I think HOLY S##T HOW AM I GOING to survive 3 FU####G OGRYNS IN A TIGHT SPACE. Then I try to get around the shield for some time. Then I get lucky and saw the bulwark in half. Then to my horror another crusher appears. The crushers are hitting at different times. I dodge and throw a stun grenade. I focus on one crusher with the sword. It dies. Afterward I get the other crusher. The whole time my heart was beating because I didn’t have much health. I jump down on the tracks and try to get the last bulwark. I think I hit it about 20 times, but each time it hit the shield. My teammates were cheering me on during the fight. When I finally kill it, I just stand staring at the wall for 10 seconds and try to calm myself down. Then I throw the ammo pack and reload. As I’m walking towards my captured allies a horde gets announced. I can’t see the other end of the tunnel because of the enemies. I spot the green flasks of the ranger in the horde and try to target them. There were to many meat shields in front of them. They get to me and come from both sides. I die My teammates said it was awesome that I survived for soo long. I wish I could do it again.

I can relate a lot, i'm always the one who stands the last, as i go tanky because i'm the best terraria player out of my group of friends, and i am the major part of the fight going back to regen when i'm with low health and my friends are alive, but when they die and they leave the boss to me, while not being fully regenerated... Is an incredible sensation, you feel like you can't fight the boss at all, because some second before you were fighting with the boss along with your friends, coming closer to the boss to damage him and going far to regenerate your life, but when they die, and you fight the boss directly, dodging, tanking, and attacking him, with your friends spectating you, fill you with determination, that you can endure those seconds left for one of them to revive, then the noob one respawns, and gets killed 3 second after fighting the noss directly, then it's again to you, to wait for your friend who plays better to finally respawn, i'm literally saying everything that that happens in every bossfight we have in terraria lmao, because it always happens the same, we summon the boss, my friends, die, i am the last one, one revives, gets killed, the other friend revives, endures a little longer, dies, leaves me alone and i kill the boss, like, it always happens, and that without counting i generally use mage and summoner, two classes which have low defense, and even then i always get more defense, life, and damage than them, that's what a pro should always be...
