This latin sign off got my attention. I know that the latin name of the peafowl genera is "pavo" because it was a recurring pun in a weird comedy show I watched as a kid. "Mediocre" must surely mean much the same in latin as in English, as "medi" definitely means "middle". And I'm pretty sure "salvete" just means "greeting" or "greetings". So... I think the full greeting might mean something like "Greetings from a mediocre peacock"? o.O

Basically, yeah. But "mediocre" is more closely translated to "ordinary" or "average," sort of "inferior." So it probably translates to "Greetings from ordinary peacock." I actually had to look up "pavo." It never came up in high school lol
