Best moment in the whole series was bionic knocking him back to the start. Clattenburg has made it so difficult for gladiators to actually do much to stop the contenders making it look so much easier. BIONIC was a star in this moment.

Well that was impressive but incredibly painful. Tbh, Ash didnt deserve that. It was Steel's own fault that he got disqualified for holding and Bionic seriously has to do that?!? I feel like Ash is probably one of the contenders that gets abused the most bc first it was Viper then Steel then Bionic. Like WHAT DID ASH EVER DO TO YOU?!?

Everything so watered down now. Eliminator has less obstacles, guantlet is much shorter with less glads etc. With the advancements in fitness and health etc stuff should he harder not easier Steels dq was just so dumb. Wtf you meant to do with those pada 😂 and as for bionic, might be fave gladiator moment from past 30 years. 3 hits to clear him finish to start 😂

The eliminator is literally a copy of the old one so how has it got less obstacles? Only difference is in the original they’d sometimes swap out the hand ladder for the hand bike but that was it .

@@Themaskplague Go back and watch later seasons of the original show. First obstacle they went over/under, there was 4. There is now 3. After that on later episodes there was a mini cargo net with a trampoline to go up and over between them and the rope climb. The removal of the handbikes. After the monkey bars, there was 2 swings, now IIRC there is only 1. There was also 2 seesaw balance beams now replaced with 1 piss easy rigid one. Athletics/Sports have evolved tenfold since 1992. Should be harder just in general. People are in (supposedly) in the best shape ever

@@pinball2k6 no I stand corrected sir I went back and watched a few . I forgot about the trampoline onto the mini cargo net. Am I right in saying they sometimes also had like the military style net you crawl under sometimes instead of the over / under things at the start? Or maybe it was where you walk through the net , like a webbed net? I feel like they definitely had something else at the start sometimes. And yes the double see-saw before the travelator, they should bring them back as the new balance beam is pretty simple . I’m hoping they may switch it up for the semi finals and final? Or if not hopefully if they do a second series they will bring different bits back

@@Themaskplague i think it swapped series to series but if im not mistaken, the webbed spidernet they ran through was part of the game "pursuit" which was basically just another obstacle course but they got chased instead of having a race. The net they went under might have been to. I can remember it but cant pinpoint when it was a thing.

I'm confused as to why this was allowed. In the old Gladiators, they'd get disqualified for even stepping one foot over the line. Yet Bionic crosses over three of them and there's no discrepancy? Huh.

The gladiators are aloud to push as far forward as they like once the contestant gets into there zone. However if the contestant gets passed/behind a gladiators zone then the gladiator is no longer aloud to carry on. Hope this helps 💪🏻
