Exoskeleton is my favorite knife designer. People complain about how their designs are impractical, but I think having someone who’s willing to make wacky designs keeps the hobby fresh, especially when most of my “highly practical” knives are practically just box openers.

When I first got my Reate Exo-M a couple of weeks ago, the safety switch was very gritty. More so when going from locked to unlocked. Grant it, it was a solid lock up. It functioned properly in either position. I dropped some KPL directly into the safety slide areas and worked it back and forth several times. It's pretty smooth both ways now. It was just weird. Reate makes really good stuff. Not crazy about those knuckle knives you just showed though. LOL.

I can't believe this is a thing. It's cool that they're doing things that are different.. but this is like weird temu item you never knew you didn't need. It would be cooler as full brass knuckles. Stage 1: fight starts. Stage 2: you're winning so his buddies join in so you pull out the brass knuckles. Stage 3: Still winning so they pull out clubs and chains and stilettos so you transform your brass knuckles into a punch dagger with the flick of your wrist WAPOW!

I wish the same Exo style was translated to the push dagger here, but it's just a button lock in a weird form. The Exo and Exo-K had moving parts and had secure lockups, this just feels like an even bigger gimmick. Trusting a push dagger with a button lock seems kinda... counter-intuitive.

Self defence ? Its a gimmiky dipp datt 🤣 a self defence item works best when it can be deployed in the moment and usable emediatly. Small carambit by example or something similar . Fine motor skills gets thrown out the front door in those scenarios ,a flippetyflippflop knuckles duster , that you have to doubled check 🙈 og well it would be better than nothing ...maby ,probably better with first elbows fett and knees 👍 my take ,and i am not self defence person ,never used a knife in those scenarios . Id ten times over take a kershaw shuffle 2 . But as a cool dipp datt,fidget spinner ?still no 🤣and i love all kind of blades

High end mall 🥷 is all it is....... except an adult fidget and a way to prove our masculinity lol cool but no way can you use this in a true defensive encounter. Unless you had it in hand deployed and hope to whatever entity that weak lock holds lol! Cool pocket jewelry though 😎 This goes for all their blades though lol I have 2yrs of actual knife fighting/ defense. Not a brag just saying your points on the self defense knives is correct. I'm no longer in class due to medical but still practice. If you carry a blade or any weapon get hand to hand training. My first class was all aboutretention and it was eye opening. Regarding you going out and testing this knife don't! That's a trip to the er for sure! I don't want that for you! I trust you but not this knife lol
