I lost my mother to a cerebral stroke this July. I had lost my father in December 2020 to COVID! I am an only child, from India. When all hope seemed lost, this movie has given me strength. From holding on to the clothes of the funeral, to a friend saying that "I am no longer a child because I have lost so much", I can't count the literal similarities that was just thrown at me in those 160 minutes. Through the mourning of Chadwick, I also mourned my parents!

A lot of the reactions I'm seeing describe the film as uniquely sad and sorrowful. Really sounds like even if T'Challa isn't the main character, his impact will be felt throughout and its pretty fitting for a Phase all about reflecting on character legacies or passing the torch onto the next generation. Also my boy Namor looks CLEAN with that Aztec armor. Glad they kept his diuchebaggery intact lol.

Relieved? Why? These guys aren’t tough to impress. They basically love anything the MCU puts out, no matter how incredibly average it is. These are films made by committee, and these guys eat it up. Marvel could churn out a film that’s 100 minutes of quips, and 20 minutes of a cgi fight with characters screaming melodramatic dialogue over the top of some generic heroic score, and these guys would say it moved them.

6:11 Namor is Marvel’s version of Gaston from Beauty and The Beast. He tried to steal Reed Richard’s wife Sue Richards, and he ruined T’Challa and Storm’s marriage. Tenoch definitely challenged Namor here, and I can’t to see his performance. He’s an antihero for a reason. He’s a prick, a homewrecker, and a jerk in the MCU and in the comics 🤣🤣

I don't want to be insensitive, but (without having seen the film yet) what I'm getting from all the commentary, reactions, and reviews from you and other critics/fans is that the film is coasting and relying on the death of Chadwick Boseman. A tragic loss, indubitably. I understand grief, having experienced it repeatedly in my personal life. But let's not kid ourselves, hardly any of us had a personal relationship with Boseman for his death to affect us to the extent it has been bandied about. And personally, Marvel's banking on such an emotional response from its fandom cheapens the memory of the film's nominal star. Please try and avoid flaming me too much.
