Great points you raised related to that new Ardbeg with not so spectacular price. It looks like some NAS bottlings are going up in price to the level of age stated stuff prices not too long ago. I like both Talisker 10 and Port Ruighe. I am surprised that the Port Ruighe is not available in the US if I heard you correctly. I see it on the shelf in Ontario regularly. As for the Ardbeg Spectacular, it sounds like it's a pass when you can buy Ardbeg 10 at a lower price.

I love Ardbeg, and pretty much stick to the core range, from what I have tried I don't think the special releases are any better or worth the price especially for non age stated.

Yeah ya caught me😳 Ardbeg seems confident that a significant amount of their core fan base… money is no object…. Even if it were cask strength…. This NAS would still be way overpriced. Cheers 🥃

Great review. I have had a taste of the Port Ruighe and liked it. I have always been a fan of the 10yr & 18yr but Talisker Storm really put me off them for some reason. I need to revisit that bottle. Cheers! P.S. Don't get me started on Ardbeg special releases 🤨
