Sivamani is highly talented. But looks like his zeal of playing on various surfaces took over real instruments despite that he has amassed tons of them. And the constant breaks, variations and changes puts the listen off from going on a steady drive. Most patterns then get repetitive too much. And despite all that hard work and talent, it boring at times for the listener having to struggel with constrant changing of track anytime. Music is a journey but should follow a path with development leading to a high. Here it's a mixture of acrobatics. So it's a sheer display of various one's ability to flaunt playing on various surfaces in different patterns. The song never arrives anywhere. That's the problem. One day Sivamani askd me to show him around music shops in Moscow during his first concert there as he was looking for some aquistic drums there. The concert was good. It's a good impression of the jugglery.
