@@musiclove4887 Hi musiclove! This long message is to you on behalf of all real music lovers! Lydian is such a rare talent. He is a prodigy. His jazz compositions are way beyond his age and just phenomenal. But I really feel bad for him, actually feel bad for what people do to him, especially during such public performances, in the name of expectation. They want him to play blind folded, then they want him to play faster than a metronome, then they want him to play with two pianos at the same time, and then two different songs at the same time, and then what else???? In this program they have made Lydian play a Rajini song on one piano and Kamal song on the other piano. The songs had to be popular and easily recognizable for the audience. Who cares about the fact that the Rajini song is in minor scale and the Kamal song is major scale and, understandably, they simply sounded horrible when played together. Drums Sivamani is a seasoned player and in this program they have made him play 101 instruments finally ending with the water can! Really? Finally, “Harmony” is the combination of simultaneously sounded musical notes to produce a pleasing effect. Ask yourself the question… if they both sounded pleasant together in this program!
