It’s funny the things you can do for spirits. For instance, I work devotionally and magically with the seasons as they pass through, and Winter loves prayer and poetry recited at the same time every night, but Summer just loves it when I dance for it. Autumn doesn’t want me to talk to them but seems to adore when I tuck notes to them under a cinnamon candle. Spring has remained entirely silent for the past two years, so I’m not sure what she wants from me at this point (if anything) but she used to love when I painted her. It’s fun how these things go. Thank you for this video, I’m glad your break was nice!

Personally, I'm in a situation where I can't often offer things to Apollo's alter. So I always dedicate the first ten - fifteen minutes of my morning to him, and thank him for the sun and new day. I also, when I can, make jewelry in his honor so I can wear it around in his name. Plus, when I find time, I do tarot reading and use my pendulum. Sometimes I feel I don't do enough for Apollo, but I've never gotten a complaint from him - and I manage to do *something* for him every day. Even if it's just a "good morning Apollo!"

For my practice, I finally nailed down that I can manage weekly offerings best for my spirits. When I was first starting, I felt a lot of pressure to give daily offerings of food/water, but it wasn't realistic for me - especially as my spiritual team grew. Now I typically reset physical offerings on Sundays/Mondays and incorporate other devotional acts throughout the week - like learning Irish in honor of my ancestors, reading Greek texts for deity spirits, lighting their candles as I plan spells or read, etc. I also try to give special offerings for special occasions - like giving the first slice of bread I've made to my spirits on Lammas. Definitely prioritizing consistency over frequency - because that's also what my spirits prefer. Side note: Welcome back! And I'm LOVING Financial Sorcery so far!

Well, here is what I do: For Aphrodite: Every morning, right after I wake up, I light her (white) candle, her daily incense (Rose), I kiss her statue and I talk to her about my plans for a day. I do that for 15 minutes. There is always an apple, her devotional oil, some chocolate... Somtimes I give her wine. Every Friday I light a pink candle, and give her Hibiscus and Rose tea. I have rose petals near her statue and a shell with a rosequarts. Also I have a bigger piece of rosequarts that is my gratitude stone that I hold while I thank her for everything she does for me. On Fridays I use her oil and I do readings with her, and I spend at least 30 minutes by her oltars. Also, I dedicate my workouts to her. For Hekate: I don't have an oltar for her unfortunately yet, but right after I'm finish my daily work with Aphrodite, I light a candle for Hekate and I do daily readings with her and I recite my prayer I wrote for her to bless me with her guidance. Every dark moon (Deipnon) I light her candle, her lavander incense, glass of moon water, glass of wine, full plate of chicken meat and bones, an egg and garlic. I don't do the ancestor work, but I do leave offerings on special occasions for my grandma. That's it.🩷

one of my gods prefers me to do self care as an offering to him which as a person who struggles with mental health isn’t always easy. he recently told me it’s okay for me to give libations instead of self care which was a huge relief! i also find that doing things in the morning while i’m doing my morning routine is easier, because i’m already up and doing things. i suggest that if anyone here is struggling with offerings to simply ask your god(s) “what’s a simple, easy offering i can give you?” in my experience they’ll be understanding if you simply can’t do something

Thank you! It's lovely to see you back all refreshed and revitalised. My practice is nature based. I'm a witchy animist hedge druid, with the hedge bit about both the being solitary and the rising/flying/shamanic stuff. My devotion is time, exactly as you describe it. I spend time in nature, communing with the spirit of this place, with certain trees and plants, with animals and creatures if this world and the Otherworld. Time, respect, intimacy.

such a relief that you break this idea of "devotion has to be very complicated and time consuming and fancy and blah blah blah". as a closeted practitioner, I just *can't* do offering, dedicate an altar to my deity, or even spend a lot of time for them because of parents are very very strict and demanding so it's so complicated to find a balance between everything they force me to do, my own well-being (not burning myself out for others yk), my friends, my hobbies and projects, work, the deity I worship etc. I always felt guilty and didn't even dare to bound with the other deity I really feel connected to and wanna work with so much, just because I don't feel legitimate to say I'm their devotee because of the fact I can't do much for them. so thank you so much.

I try to make sure that each of my deities get a smoke offering at least once a week, either by lighting their candle or some incense (I can't do this nearly as often as I used to because I have a cat now). I wear devotional jewelry frequently, and most often for Hecate, who is the deity who I recognize as having the most prominent position in my practice. I'm also in the process of doing more specific deipnon rituals to connect with her (a food offering at a crossroads, and I also set aside that day for a deep physical and energetic cleanse of my space), so that's monthly. I tend to devote a lot of small daily habits: fiber crafts or strategy games for Athena, glamor magic in my makeup for Freyja, etc. Every few weeks I'll give a food, drink, or nature-based offering to everyone, but I can't leave these out very long (again, because of the cat). I don't have a firm schedule with my devotion, but once I have more of a routine back with my life, I expect that will be more accessible to me, and help me feel more connected.

Personally, i have a huge space for Apollon, where there are my desk and my piano, because i write my novel here, and i have a candle for him. I need to redo it but i have space for my books spirits (i offer them new edition of their stories, sometimes I reread them, i think daily about the characters (i look for so much fan art, do collages, read some memes and jokes around the stories...). I have my little kitchen for Hestia. I have a little space in my bathroom for Aphrodite 'cause i do skincare and make up for her. And i have a "altar space" where i just put stuff here for Apollon, Aphrodite and Hekate. And i have a desk organiser with the names of multiple deities i want close but don't really worship them for now. Like I thank Zeus when there is rain or thunder, i asked stuff to Hermes for jobs and luck so i gave him coins here. The only thing i do for all of them is representation so i have virtual offerings ! But i don't offer liquid and food (i made a devotional oil for Hekate) because i'm forgetful and clumsy and my living space is not that big.

For my practice, I work with the elements as well as the sun, stars, and moon. Most of my stuff is small (I gotta keep all the magic in my room or garden) but often times I will daily sit before their shrine and meditate. Sharing the colors of all our energies combined bringing a sense of balance. Often times I'll talk to them beforehand about something that happened that day, or just something I find interesting. I'm glad I saw this video because though my practice is somewhat small, I wonder if I should do more aside from that and caring for my garden. Might consider making an oil for each element or dedicate specific jewelry to them every now and then. Thank you witch aunt Frankie! Let's hope I can do something cool :)

My most practical devotional act for my deities and archangels is to simply say good morning and good night to each of them every day, and I try talking to them about anything. I can't do much because I'm at uni almost all day every day, and my home is outside the city I study in, so I can't do much What I try tho, is that I have been dedicating fridays to Lucifer, because he's my main infernal deity right now, so I try cleansing his altar, lighting his candle and do something in devotion, or offer something, and sometimes I do divination with him I also love doing divination with archangel Gabriel at least weekly (I try lol), and reflect with him. Sometimes I feel like it's not much, but I really do it with all my appreciation for them ❤

there are times where i feel disconected from my practice and i feel kinda bad cuz i wanted to be able to be more "consistent" with devotion, and i have to remember that its fine to work less frequently (within my work at least) this past month i've been struggling more in life due to some disorders and i havent been able to do much in general. i wanted to feel more at peace with not being able to be "active and productive" so i decided to search about my practice and connect with my deities through prayer and meditation. for now im really happy that i am able to connect so much with my practice, however, i know once i start feeling better and go back to college i won't work on this as much and thats ok... life can be hectic and fast and our motivatio may not be linear, thats normal. i hope you are all well, much love

With the exception of my ancestors most of my interactions with spirits are transactional. Many of the transactions are hearing them out, witnessing their existence and the affect they had/have. As stated in the video, research can be veneration/offerings. Often the local spirits just ask me to research them and acknowledge their existence. Most of them just wanted to have a task to do because they were tired of being ignored/forgotten. Many of them were also upset and feeling mocked by the local "Ghost Hunters" and "supernatural tours". For my ancestors I have developed the habit of listening to them while accomplishing the day to day activities of life. I don't have a lot of space in my current living situation so my altar spaces are small and multifunctional. My ancestors often request I wear particular jewelry (necklaces predominantly) that bear symbols common in their mortal lives. The spirits I work with don't really ask for libations or food offerings but I feel that will change once I have more control of my living situation.

I'm very bad about not maintaining consistency with my offerings/devotional work, but I do have things I enjoy doing with spirit. Your video makes me think I should be doing the things I enjoy with spirit as my offerings. A lot of what I counted as an offering was always things I had to go out of my way to do(food/drink, exercise, creating something, cleaning), and while I do think those are good offerings, I get so burnt out and fall off my routine. my favorite things to do with them is listen to audio books and doing tarot spreads. idk why I never thought of those activities as offerings 🤔 and then you(Chaotic Witch Aunt) said wearing fragrances could be an act of devotional offerings and My Mind Was Blown!? Like....DUH! Ofc!! I wear fragrances all the time. You've TALKED About Your Devotional Oils/Perfumes before!! Why am I only just now realizing I could do that too? Always getting new things to think about, from your videos 🥰

I feel like a lot of people (myself included) try to make themselves fit the practice rather than make their practice fit them. I know I used to try and make myself do what I thought I “should” be doing to maintain spiritual relationships, trying to force myself to stick to a particular routine and schedule. It would never work, and it would ultimately end with me neglecting those relationships because I would get so burnt out. I think when we fully embrace the fact that offerings and spirit relationships don’t need to look any particular way, it opens up a whole world of possibilities. Now, I have my really nice, whole altar setup in our office where I’ll light all the candles and do all the fancy stuff every so often. But I also literally just keep four shot glasses of various colors on my bookshelf in the living room for my deities and ancestors and they get water, wine, raspberry la croix, whatever’s on hand. That’s honestly what I end up going for most often, and my connection to those spirits has never been better. Simple, basic, but consistent > fancy, but half assed and inconsistent

I have a small area for Fortuna, including her statue. I haven't been able to find a lot of information about her. I've read that she likes sunflowers, champagne, a drink of milk, honey and poppies and gold coins. I bring her sunflowers a lot and have experimented with different things. If anyone has a resource to recommend where I can learn more about her, I'd appreciate your suggestions. Great video, Frankie. Thank you!

I worship/work with 8/9 deities (one of the deities has 2 aspects and I work with both but at different times of the year). Each deity is particular and unique. They mainly require upkeep on altars, smoke offerings (sometimes, more frequently as of rn), water and maybe a food offering at least once a month, they ask that I try to pray to them every day before I go to sleep but sometimes I forget 😅, and also check in with them via divination to make sure things are going smoothly. Sometimes they'll ask for certain things, or ask that I do things in their honor. But each and every one of them is different in their own way, so what they ask of me and how much they want from me differs. Communication is key though.

At the moment, I try to commit on the daily to spend time at their altars, doing shadow work, meditating and pendulum communication, along with the occasional home made goodies! I have dedicatory candles to my two main deities and spaces for them. I am on holiday at the moment, and this video has been a life saver when it comes to ideas of what offerings/ dedications I can provide when I don't have as much time to give! I love the idea of wearing certain oils/scents to them. (I'm a big scent lover.) Also, weirdly, I never actually thought of water? 😂 Thank you so much, once again! Hope you had an amazing time off! 💕

😅 Yep, this is why I refuse The Morrigan even though I’ve felt called to her for awhile. I am off and on with attention to Hades, which it feels like he understands, but also gives me the same amount of energy back. Slowly nailing down my life and giving Hades more consistent time and/or offers is a huge thing I want to nail down. I always feel bad for giving inconsistent attention to him and then over promise. I swear, he shakes his head at me as I make those promises. 😂 😮 I just had a realization. He often wants me to take care of myself, so I could possibly devote my showers and baths to him as I’m trying to get more consistent at that again.

I'd be interested in hearing about how you can begin to address over-commitment (once you've already over-committed and then realized you've really over-done it.) I've thought about creating a ritual for it and seriously sticking to only what I'm able to commit to in the future. I work with a singular spirit shrine. None of them have asked for their own space at this time. I have a small house shrine for the house spirit, A cat representing my work with the animal world (very broadly), my servitor's housing, something to represent my spirit familiar, and at the center I have A clear chalice of water. I place a candle before this when the water is replaced and I have a devotional prayer I recite at least weekly. If we make goodies (sweet cakes, cookies, or other special things) we are sure to leave some on the shrine plate. However, there are various types of offerings that are placed on the altar and it is as simple as designating who the offerings are for. Any divine energies are not placed on this shrine. They do often get placed in their own spaces. Shrine work is kept separate from my working altar.

I work with Lilith and my regular offerings are sex and incense. Special ones she likes sometimes are red roses and red wine. My mother's altar usually is a card pull or just time. i think it's worth noting that deities will interact with different people differently.
