I plan on doing a big house cleansing soon when I have the energy/am in the mood. To be fair, I've been into this for 6 years more or less and I've only taken baby steps. I've had moments where I didn't want to practice and moments of hyperfixiations. I like it that way, I don't need to rush, I've felt a lot of changes in my life and built some valuable experiences. I've also learned to be kinder to myself and my body.

I recently started using floor washes for cleansing and warding. I boil my herbs, let them cool, strain the liquid into a jar, add a dash of florida water and then add the potion to my mop water, to spray bottles (for cleansing doors, mirrors, windows, objects), and sometimes to my bath water 🙂 and if you still want the effect of a floor cleanse but you have carpet, sprinkle herbs all over your carpet and then vacuum them up 🙂 depending what herbs you use, it can also deodorize your carpet! A LAST NOTE: YOU CAN STORE THE DRIED HERBS IN JARS, BUT ONCE YOU MAKE A FLOOR/BATH/SPRAY WASH ITS GOOD PRACTICE TO USE IT IMMEDIATELY!! YOU ARE ESSENTIALLY MAKING A TEA/HERBAL INFUSION AND IT WILL GO RANCID! I have stored excess in my fridge but I used it within days! 🙂✨ Also, rosemary hair rinses help with hair growth/loss and dandruff! It's a herbalism secret, but rosemary is also a protection herb!

But I'm also looking forward to having more time. Well that was rambling. I love how you evolved, Frankie. Watching this series of yours is a very valuable addition to my day. The difficulty when talking about resins is that often resins of different plants of different conservation status will be sold under the same name. "Frankincense" refers to resins of a few species of trees. At least one of those species is currently endangered, but others are doing ok. Right now a more commonly used species boswellia sacra is considered "near threatened" (the "step" below "least concern" and two above "endangered") due to unsustainable harvesting practices, but there is some work being done to protect it. Other species that yield less resin are doing ok, but also aren't typically being used for resin. As for dragon's blood, it also comes from a few species of tree, which makes it difficult to classify. The dragon's blood tree, Dracaena cinnabari, is considered "vulnerable" which is the classifcation between "near threatened" and "endangered," again due to deforestation and other human activity. Dracaena draco is just plain ol' "endangered."

@@dontnoable for me when I use cinnamon that I use for like tea or a simmer pot I will put it on the kitchen window seal to dry out and then I will crush it or make it into a powder and use it with spell work. Same with Bay leaves to I guess ( never reused them before ). Just remember that if you used that piece of cinnamon in your tea and used it to mix the tea around, and you put your intention into that piece of cinnamon that it is used for protection, when you reuse it, use it in like protection or banishing spell because it will still hold onto that intention. I hope I didn’t make that confusing.

I live in a polluted and crowded area. I often feel overwhelmed but I'm aware of it. I hate going back home and not having a shower and clean clothes. The pandemic only made it worse 😆 It takes so little and it makes me feel physically clean not just "intentionally clean". I think that water takes off dirt from outside and it can have a cleansing effect on etheric body, too. I can add salt or herbs with an intention, but I don't feel it as a witch's must do. Veiling also gave me a big help, even if I'm not understood, I don't care. I cannot think of putting my hair on my pillow without washing it. Having very long hair I go out uncovered only when I'm sure I will wash it later and I still need to be in a mood for it.

Tip for people who use drugstore shampoo/conditioner. Suave has a Rosemary Mint set in their professionals line. It's somewhere under $5 a bottle, I wanna say it was $3 last I checked but that was a good year and a half ago because I have short hair and wash roughly weekly (it is seperate shampoo and conditioner and not the cheapest of the drugstore options so I get it's not in everyone's budget) and while it's not the greatest for your hair, it's a decent drugstore option with some added cleansing and protective oils. I'll admit I'm saving up to switch off of it because my scalp doesn't love it and I like to dye my hair (it has all the stuff they say is bad for unicorn hair), but it's a decent way to add extra witchiness to things you're already doing (obviously it depends on hair type, whether you have the spoons to wash your hair in that way, etc.) But yeah, things like that exist. I've also tried the Loreal EverPure color safe stuff that has a rosemary option (with the actual oil), so yeah various brands have things along that line. I'm basically saying, you can get various hygiene products that are cleansing or protective either through oils or fragrance that works with your intent and are a nice low energy way to add to things you're already probably doing.

Frankie, what works for me is I add 1 drop tea tree, 1 drop lavender, 1 drop Himalayan cedarwood,,2 drop rosemary to my shampoo for dandruff and hair fall 🤷♀️dandruff was making my hair fall out and this works better, more natural, and I noticed it works instantly because if I dye my hair, I instantly get flaky (must be the sulfates 🤷♀️) so just on the top even though you're not supposed to wash hair right after dying, but I do use it on top and it helps instantly 😊 pretty amazing!!! Lavender is good for skin healing and dry skin, tea tree for fungus, cedarwood atlas and rosemary for hair growth and health.

Even when talking about magick methods: aren't all (especially the traditional ones), in a certain way, taken from other cultures and customs? For example, I am Italian and I live in Italy but let's say I want to create a witch bottle that is part of british folk magick. So is this a case of cultural appropriation or not?
