For those who want to put a background behind the text. Just make sure that the effect bars are marked as parents in the composition area and click on the text area next to Compositing Mode click on Make Compositing Child. That way the background is not affected by the glitch and only the text is. To see what I mean look at the intro.

Balta Bueno this is old but I'm gonna assume you can't see compositing mode. If you do skip to step 4 1. Compositing mode is in those three bars in the tracks to the left side. Click that 2. There you'll see compositing mode, so click it or edit visible button set if you don't see it 3. There you can add what buttons you want to be visible on your track. Click *Make compositing Parent Make Compositing Child Compositing Mode* and then click ok 4. You'll see these circles next to the slider bar on your track, theyre double circles or whatever if you hover your mouse over them it'll say what the circle is. One is compositing mode, another is make compositing parent, and the last make compositing child 5. Now what you have to do is click on your text, and then click on the circle that says *make compositing child* so that the background picture doesn't glitch as well. Hope this helps☺️

Whenever I put in the effects, it just shows the bars and no effect taking place. I'm a beginner so I don't really know whats going on here. When i drag the TV simulator effect to make it offset, it just stays the same, how do I fix this? Edit: the bars are just over the entire text and everything so nothing takes effect.

I've followed all of the steps through the pixelate part, when the video plays in video preview ... there is a horizontal colored bar that sits right near middle of screen (sits at 90 degree angle against the main TV bars) . Is that normal? Is that only part of the video preview? It's almost like a watermark or something. Any help would be appreciated!
