Congrats on the 100k ladies! Well deserved Edit: as a food and beverage director, PLEASE let a restaurant know if you find foreign objects in your food. Obviously be kind, but that restaurant needs review the process that allowed a foreign object to get in your food in the 1st place. That way they can avoid it in the future.
@kz6892 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely!! I was a Food and Beverage Manager for a major corporation and there is so much that goes into investigating and ensuring food quality and safety! Kindness is key but I never, ever got offended or upset by someone pointing something out, sending something back etc. It only sucked when they were mean. Even if we are busy our goal should be to keep you safe and well fed haha.

Ok, I'm only 4 minutes in and I have to say - canned cranberries, NO; fresh cranberry salad with apples, oranges, pineapple, and walnuts {sometimes jello} = Mmm Hmm, yes, please! It's my favorite! Our families have the holiday foods down pat! However, at one of the family gatherings, in the last 5 yrs (since the grandparents have all passed), we've strayed away from the traditional holiday foods for Christmas and have done pizza, soups, spaghetti, tacos etc. (different theme each year).. but it's not the same! There are certain dishes that we look forward to each year and doing every day foods dosen't feel like a special holiday..imo. My dad also has a rule that if you're not bringing something homemade & instead going to go to the store to buy a commercial cake, cookies, pie, or side dish, just don't. Those who don't cook, or have time, can bring drinks, napkins, plates, etc. Brittany, you should try a fresh cranberry salad before you completely cross it off the list. It can be customized and made into a jello salad, if you're not into the raw fruits & nuts {sweetened with sugar & lemon juice}. You can also try adding raspberry jello and/or marshmallows. Leave out the celery &/or walnuts {or just use less}. Use Granny Smith apples for a tarter version 😉 Use canned mandarin oranges & crushed pineapple; or fresh diced in food processor. My husband's cousin brought it with the raw fruits + walnuts, to Thanksgiving one year, and I fell in L❤VE! Fresh cranberries are only available in the fall and early winter, but after Christmas, they're no where to be found, here in the midwest, at least. So that's what makes the cranberries such a special tradition for me, anyway. It's one of my favorite treats that time of year. Then, if you're feigning out of season {like I am now 🤭} you can buy canned cranberries and doctor it up. Or don't. #WhateverClever 😉 #FoodForThought PS. Congratulations Hailie & Evan on your engagement 💝✌💗🤗

Majority restaurants automatically think that the customer is pulling a fast one when they find something in their food for some reason. Not everyone wants a free meal, so put something in their food themselves. Most of just don't like to complain but in my opinion if there's something in your food your very mush entitled to complain as at the end of the day we are paying for it so expect it to be good with nothing in it that shouldn't be. But then again I know Majority of restaurants are straightforward but how do we know one of the workers haven't already done something to our food which we can't see??? Hence why I dont like to eat out anymore. Its best to cook your own food as that way you know exactly what in it and if you do find a hair or something else in it you know it's your own.

First time I will have to disagree with you guys. Yes it is extreme to say you dislike turkey trotters. Not everyone has a family on thanksgiving day, some people have their family out of state or out of country, some people are going through depression and going out in Thanksgiving mornings may be therapeutic for them. They may feel like they have a trotter family and hey thanksgiving food when you are alone is ALWAYS A YES!
