I'm fine with them taking their time. They need to get the PERFECT one. Someone that checks ALL the boxes.

I also like how they can mix things up, blend different styles. They can sound like Slayer or Maiden, or they can go soft with piano pieces or some classical riffs. They can add in some Japanese rock flavor, something you might hear in an anime intro. They are super talented.

K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton were my go to for Guitar duo but, Now it is Midori and Miyako. These lady's know how to write a song and perform it to it's hilt. Can't say enough about them. Glad to see their Audition coming into play. They'll be back and with a Vengeance.

This video is from the concert “Daughters of the dawn”, 2019; another hidden gem. The band has just announced the audition process to find the new bass player. By the way, Midori and Miyako just appeared on the “Rock Fujiyama” KZbin channel show (part 1 and 2), with Marty Friedman, and they looked great and happy, playing their guitars and talking about their guitar heroes.

LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics: Rupture of the Heavens Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity Time has stopped and frozen Held my breath with the death of humanity If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome ----- lyrics: asami music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)

I love the way the mix of despair and hope match the music for each part, great song. One of the pair they wrote as a challenge. Miyako (Above the Black Sea) and this from Mao, both derived/inspired by Rachmaninov; both songs made the 4 song EP, Battle Against Damnation. The other songs?, no slouches; The Crusade, and Break the Wall

One of my favorite songs from Lovebites. A complete masterpiece. This song is not the only song Midori uses the slide. She also uses it in the song "The Apocalypse"

Mynavi Blitz has sadly closed down, yet another casualty of covid. "Under the Red Sky" is the sequel to "The Apocalypse," both songs being about the bombing of Hiroshima. Midori uses a slide on both songs. Two great songs, both incredibly heavy, both in my LB top ten.

Thanks for more LOVEBITES! The outro is "The Everlasting" written by Miyako. As Stephen Lu wrote of, Midori's guitar on this song is the most relentless melodic-shred I have ever heard, and leaves-nothing-to-be-desired! The contrast between Miyako's solo and Midori, including slide, as you mention, is uniquely impressive and enjoyable. This song is about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Asami's ability to project a positive outcome from such catastrophe is, again, a unique quality to LOVEBITES, and gives their name a deeper meaning, imo. They have another on this subject, from Miho, "The Apocalypse" that is also musically progressive and lyrically powerful. I am very fortunate to have all their Blu-rays and I think it not possible to fully comprehend 'the LOVEBITES Experience' just watching/hearing independent single songs. "Under The Red Sky" is the "climax" following a 14 song, 85min Main Set, followed by the 3 song, 20min Encore, to the crowd-interaction with Miyako's outro music... In all their well earned and deserved Glory! THIS is what LOVEBITES brings us, like no other in my 70 years of life. I am grateful for the opportunity for this experience.. Some full shows have been uploaded recently, kzbin.info/door/WNVdwEs16ItIrDismVe0Jwplaylists I am still trying to 'decipher' what I've already heard. Haruna's detailed drum arrangements, so tasteful and quite challenging, and with the dbl-kicks, on-off with such precision, or relentless pummeling! Miyako & Midori ... !?! ... I play drums & guitar, and will be exploring their 'works' for the rest of my life! The compositions! 49 songs currently, with the new, 'audition music' makes 50. Maybe I ought to be practicing BASS !?! (and getting a plane ticket!) They say "No limitation on age, gender, nationality, professional or amateurs." !!!!!!

This song is about the criminal atomic bombing of Hiroshima! When writing the lyrics Asami approached it as a sequel to “The Apocalypse” from their first EP. Music: Mao
@bm6252 жыл бұрын
Though I agree that the atomic bombing of Hiroshima was horrific and wrong, knowing the history of it, I look at it as an act of war. A retaliation for the bombing of Pearl Harbor which I also think was horrific and wrong. It's not like the US dropped the atomic bomb for no reason at all. Both attacks were equally terrible. The reason I'm responding is because I noticed you only claim the bombing of Hiroshima is "criminal". Would you consider the bombing of Pearl Harbor criminal as well? I'm not trying to justify either one. I'm just curious if you're consistent in your thinking?
