That constant shredding lead Midori does is an example of one of the things that Lovebites do that set them apart--they never settle for "enough". Where other bands would just strum through a chorus, Lovebites lay down a dense texture of sound under the vocals. Miyako does something similar on "The Crusade"--just five minutes of insane shredding.

This is the the second song of the "Trilogy" about the 2WW. The first (about Kamikaze) is "Above the black sea", the second, this one and the third "Apocalypse" about the nuclear bombs on Japan. Beautiful for me, the version of Apocalypse but Tokio 2021. Thank you.

Awesome thanks for coming back for some more Lovebites. This song is one of my absolute favorites from Lovebites. Unfortunately this 2019 version is blocked in Japan. The newer 2021 version is not blocked in Japan and im not sure why this 2019 version is still recommended but either way its an amazing song and performed to perfection. Under The Red Sky was lyrically written as a part 2 to the song "The Apocalypse". The songs "Above The Black Sea" and "Under The Red Sky" are musically composed as a love letter to Sergei Rachmaninoff. Above The Black Sea is a war themed song as well but not connected lyrically to Under The Red Sky

LOVEBITES - Under The Red Sky lyrics: Rupture of the Heavens Blinding rays piercing through on a killing spree Looming in the distance, come the thundering roars of calamity Eerie bitter silence, from the whirling black smoke and insanity Time has stopped and frozen Held my breath with the death of humanity If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in SOLO: midori / miyako Pounded by the black rain, while the world is engulfed in a bloody sea Stolen in a moment; everything, everyone lost to history If somewhere God really exists How would He take our shame and great disgrace? Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we are stronger than this nightmare Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget At the edge of this grey world Holding you tight Searching for a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in Sin in the sky It was that moment when I saw you smile A suffering I will never forget But again I will find you And take your hand Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome SOLO: both / midori ----- lyrics: asami music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Battle Against Damnation EP 06/06/2018

This song is not anime, but a tribute to the classical music, Sergei Rachmaninoff Symphony No.2. please listen to the third movement.

You didn't watch to the end, but during their bows, Miho looks like she's on the verge of tears. I always wondered what that was about. It could be connected with the reasons she left the band, or something entirely unrelated. Thanks in any case for checking this out.

I could tell Miho's mind was not with the band. You could see it in her body language. I wish I had commented on this, oh well.

Miho had lost her beloved father to a sudden illness six months before this concert, and she had not yet recovered from the shock.

@@ahodori-dl5hz yes, I think most of the Pack know about that story, and we have seen the moving clip of them performing "Journey to the Other Side"--but I felt something more was going on here. This concert was a true moment of triumph for the band, and Miho, as the founder, must have been in awe of what they had achieved. That, mixed with regret that her father couldn't be there to see it....? Just speculation, I suppose. I wish more reactors would watch this all the way through--the personalities of all five bandmembers really show in this moment.

concert's outro instrumental made by Miyako. that was inspired by Queen's concert's outro God save the queen.

You’d enjoy the last 2 songs (which go together) on the eponymous 1st album by Kansas. They are Apercu & Death of Mother Nature Suite. Neither song is on the live Two for the Show. By the way, I signed the decree today, so I’ll be in touch soon.

Great call - except Minavi Blitz shows will ALWAYS get blocked. (now you know) This song is about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima - and has special meaning to the band and the crowd. That's why the beginning is chaotic and confused, and then it switches up to triumphant and hopeful as they pledge to go on and make a new life. That repeats a couple of times during the performance, with the slide guitar solo near the end. You noticed that each of the uplifting sections were accompanied by incredible lead solos by *Midori* . A special song from a Very Special band. BTW - they have another new CD coming out in August (Knockin' on Heaven's Gate) Also, Miyako (guitar/piano) has released an EP of classic Rock and Metal songs reimagined as classical piano solos. The more you listen, the more you are going to love this band. BTW - blond guitarist *Midori* is competing in a Japan Bikini Body Fitness competition next month - her last competition she took 3rd place (she not only shreds, she IS Shredded)

A finále performance of a 1hr40min show, about surviving & finding hope after being atomic-bombed, they show affection & gratitude for their fans to outro music "The Everlasting" (you chose to ignore) written by guitarist, pianist, backing-vocalist Miyako, that completes the night's experience. Witnessing exit of stage is essential, imo. I always find it unfortunate that reactor's 'random song selection' methods miss the fullness of what LOVEBITES brings, in compositions, themes, arrangements & progressive performance. A 'metal opera', telling a story. One-song-at-a-time will never reveal the unique & meaningful expressiveness that is LOVEBITES. 'Full albums' seems optimistic when you didn't even watch this through the outro, felt the need to fade the music... It will be a great improvement if you actually let bands perform without 'editing' randomly. If 'blocked' only in Japan, I suggest leaving the unblocked video for the rest of Earth & uploading one like this for Japan.

Killing song! Thanks for reacting. I'm still doing my best to find a Lovebites song I dislike... yes, this song has many j-elements within, remembers me of animes opening songs. More flavors of Lovebites!
