Hal stated on one of his streams a few weeks ago, that he asked the Devs if he could open those packs. The Devs told him there was nothing they could do about the packs Destroyer2009 gifted him. Basically saying he could open them because they can't remove them from Hal. So are you expecting him to just let the packs sit there forever and NOT open them??

Why people surprised about the packs from a cheater? He opens it because thats a Respawn issue, imagine a hacker breaking your security system and gifting thousands of pack to people??? Hal isnt in the wrong by doing this 😂

Now granted I don’t know his motive for doing that but I almost hope that he was exposing it on a big stage to get them to actually do something about it. I like that he’s exposing the cheating and problems with anticheat software. But to be fair, there could be an argument about Hal “receiving stolen property”. But Hal has no way of knowing how those packs were obtained even if it was by a known cheater, so nothing would ever happen. But I totally agree that who could care less that he opens them. He’s single-handedly carrying the games viewership so he gets what he deserves lol.
