How can you not adore a man crushing on his absolutely lovely wife?! 🥰🥰🥰 (THAT is what it’s supposed to be like folks!) I’m blessed to have one like that myself - 20 years on, still in love, still my best friend. He’s stayed at my side through 3 different cancers and all my other health issues in recent years. Always tries to be there when I might need him, but knows to give me my space when I need that too. Despite the danger & risks of covid for me due to being immunocompromised, being stuck indoors for over 14 months with him after he switched to working from home has been far more of a blessing for us than it was for others in our situation. In the end, it’s been well worth my disastrous first marriage/divorce and the many years alone in between. I won’t lie: it’s not always easy; marriage can be downright difficult, even painfully hard work sometimes…but when you’re with the right person, it’s always worth it. ❤️ Never, ever settle for less folks. We all deserve partners who treat us like Benedict does his wife. 🥰

@@izzy.i thank you, and yes I do know that I very much am as well ❤️ I think in some weird way it made a difference that my first marriage truly *was* such a nightmare (cheating, DV, alcoholism, drug abuse, R…you name it. He was everything toxic and horrible rolled into one dumpster fire of a person). It gave me the experience to know just how truly awful being with the wrong person is, and because of all the counselling I had afterwards to get past all “that”, I’d learned to value myself and not ever be willing to ever settle again - that first marriage had been pushed on us by our families. He’s still to this day a nightmare of a human, but even so - he was just as trapped in our marriage as I was. (Big difference though is I wasn’t busy trying to kill HIM as a way to get out of it. I was willing to do whatever it took to get free, but NOT that - not unless I had to do it to save my own life). I ended up having to leave not just him, but also the religion I was raised in, AND the family is been raised in to get free of him and that marriage. Staying single for a very long time afterwards until I knew I was ready and willing to truly share my life with a partner helped as well. ❤️
