PLEASE STOP COMMENTING OVER THE VIDEO. WE IN THE HOUSE COMMUNITY VERY MUCH DISLIKE IT. THIS IS NOT A SNOWBOARDING COMPETITION. I seriously hope we don't lose our culture. It's starting a little however, with speeding up the bmp, preventing the dancer from dancing with soul. It's too fast to feel.
@stephaneog39776 жыл бұрын
Marcel Yochanan I agree. The music House dance are dancing to these days got faster and weird. Some time too much cold, polyrhythmic and intellectual. Kind of mechanic. Consequently it harder to vibe to it.

I've been dancing to deep and soulful house for 25 years almost. I've enjoyed dancing with some of the smoothest dancers from Washington, DC to NYC. Unfortunately these "competitions" bring out what I feel like is an undesirable pressure to be "animated". These fantastic dancers are compelled to become spastic & over-expressive. It actually takes away from the dance for me. The roots of jacking, shuffling, stomping are rooted more in deep and rhythmic/ tribal house, where smoothness and soulfulness is the key. These competitions fly in the face of those roots.

@@constanze7878 Don't watch any videos for two months and simply practicing feeling the music on your own and learning how to move your own body to the rhythm. After two months of simply feeling the music, you can check out different styles that fit you. The #1 most important thing always is to move on beat. If someone is not moving on beat they are just doing tricks or movements not dancing. Too many people focus on trying to do flashy movements instead of learning how to ride a rhythm

The English commentators are so annoying. Could you please stop talking about the dancer on the dance floor through her sex when she is a woman. Stop that. Just judge the moves, not the sex ! Geez I can't bear these commentaries about them being a couple or not. WE FUCKIN DONT CARE. Are you watching a dance show or a TV show? COME ON. SHUP UP AND LET HER DANCE
@Hadeesyoutube6 жыл бұрын
You're right it shouldn't be about her sex. But what they said was all admiring and positive about her as a dancer, they listed her achievements and stated how important she is as a figure, being a woman and doing so well in a male dominated scene. (and yeah there shouldn't be commentary on dance videos!)
@zeldazoned6 жыл бұрын
Diane Saul This is a physical competition dominated by men and genders are physically different. Not commenting on that would be idiotic. If someone was 40 and someone was 20 could we comment? Or are we not allowed to talk about age now. It’s commentary per se you should be annoyed about but you’ve focussed on gender....

It's been only 8-9 years (maybe a bit more) that I listen consciously to House styles of music and figured that I am more of Deep House person than a proper Chicago House one. I really don't like disco for now - which is ironic somehow - so... When I see some of the comments from deep rooted House dancers, I am so sorry to hear about their point of view. I can't help but to definitely agree with what they say on a dancing vibe point of view. It feels all technically centric with no internal drive, grove, without translation of the mood of the tracks. And when I talk and show some House battles to my less educated friends on this dance movement or on dance at all, they can also see it. It speaks loud for itself. Nevertheless to their defense, I think the mood of the tracks are really polished, so it's kinda hard to stick to a neutral-ish background for creative composition. Maybe the DJ did that on purpose, no idea. It's been only 5 years that I express and explore myself regularly, at parties, on the dancefloor. People come to describe me now as having my own way of dancing, as being authentic. I browse hours of dance videos, really love it since a long time but it's only recently (2 or 3 years maximum) that I discovered the House dance and want to learn it so badly: I am obsessed! It's like, wtf: how do you come to invent such a way of moving? I see some Disco, Latin and Hip Hop roots in it. But it really comes from out there to my own none specialist point of view. Mesmerizing. I am a bit of a dummy with my legs tho but it's definitely better now than before. I also really like Voguing and Waacking and want to deep dive into it too. This to say that, I don't have much regular technic as in, knowing many steps from one style - I kind of know 6 basic moves in Voguing and was taught once what is called the cross step, I believe. All the rest of how I dance comes from the feeling in placement, position and rhythm of those moves. And that's already so freaking fun. So that's why I want to continue with it. But House dance is sooooo demanding - makes totally sense when I think about it in a sport perception, when dancing (arms up/legs down) with arms and upper body you are not lifting up the whole body at each move + legs drain much more energy, than arms do. This is intense! On a purely musical and not dancing point of view, as a DJ and producer, I am really sorry to apparently kill the soul and origin of House, because I am one of those young jackass pushing the beat up to 130bpm. I just like it better this way. I have a biais tho because I also do love Techno and also tend to push the beat up to 140bpm while it is originally already considered as fast when pushed up to 135bpm. Nevertheless, I really share and relate to the feeling of those Padres of the House dance movement when I hear spreading so damn fast, literally, this 145-150-ish new 'Hard-Techno'. It is so frustrating and makes no sense. SOOOOO, I'll definitely take my lesson from those comments and will try to slow down my productions and DJying in the House styles. I am grateful for having been able to read their thoughts.
