The main setting that actually affects ping time is going from WiFi to hardwired Ethernet. Changing resolution doesn’t matter because frame rates are locked. The console has the horsepower for each setting. The RGB color is intended for when you are connected to a monitor. DNS can help improve speed sometimes but skip doing it from the console and change it on your router so all devices benefit. Cloudflare DNS is faster than Google as their primary focus is on speed. Also, if you bought a cheap router some of them are so underpowered they can even slow down hardwired connections. ASUS is a decent option at the consumer level. UniFi AmpliFi is a more power user setup just before commercial grade.

You sound like you know a thing or two..... I'm having a xbox s, and hardly played on the thing for years. Suddenly a lot of 0x 80..and 100... error codes all the bloody time. I did everything from updating via flashdrive, restart, reset, cabels in & out....etc. But it's onlyu getting worse . Anyway, i'm searching for a solution because sending it off for repairs costs as much as buying a new-second hand consul . ...So before i'm throwing it in the rubbish bin, i'm asking random people (like you ;) if they can think of something i could try . Hardware or software.

@@spiritualanarchist8162 Unfortunately if it’s console wide, not just one game, and a factory reset didn’t solve it your most likely culprit is a hardware issue. While unlikely to work, a last ditch effort is to try plugging directly to a different outlet in a different circuit to rule out circuit or surge protector issues. It’s a long shot but it costs nothing to try.

Don’t forget to clear MAC address and restart. Also restarting your Xbox every few hours or do a hard shutdown once a week really helps. Also in dashboard go to home and select it hit refresh and it will run smoother if it’s been on fro awhile

Changing the colour depth doesn’t do anything if your monitor doesn’t support it. Most monitors or TV’s have 8 bit panels. You also don’t want to use PC RGB unless you have a PC monitor

@@spreadluvvv because they don’t? Lmao. Most panels are 6 bit+frs, with some higher end monitors and TV’s being at 8-10 bits. Have yet to see a commercially supported 12 bit monitor/tv. And chances are, if you can afford a HDR capable monitor/tv, you wouldn’t be running an Xbox one lol. Setting 12bits on a 8 bit monitor literally does nothing 😂. Console players I swear

i have done almost everything and i have cannot fix the issue of the xbox being slow. Every time i start up a game like modern warfare my game would just sit there for years and when i would try to quit the game the xbox menu will not show up.
