On Thursday the 24th of March 2022, CCF and CAGE held a rally to demand justice for Dr Aafia Siddiqui.
Dr Aafia Siddiqui is a Pakistani neuroscientist who obtained her PhD from MIT. In March 2003, Aafia and her children were kidnapped in Karachi, Pakistan, and held at a black site for 5 years, before being extra-legally sent to the US.
In 2010, after what many saw as a "show trial", she was sentenced in the U.S. to 86 years in prison on fabricated charges. Today, Dr Aafia is being held at federal prison in Fort Worth, Texas under extremely punitive and dehumanizing conditions.
Aafia turned 50 years old this month, and next year marks 20 years since her kidnapping.
Aafia has well-wishers all around the world, and for the first time, the Coalition for Civil Freedoms (US) and CAGE (UK) will gather her supporters from four continents to join forces online to demand her release.
Especially, Aafia's sister, Dr Fowzia, and her lawyers will join this virtual rally to share with us the latest news and updates on Aafia's situation.
Join Leena Al Arian and Moazzam Begg for this unique event that will bring together Aafia’s family, lawyers, organisers and former prisoners across continent.

A special thank you for Dr Fowzia Siddiqui's time in speaking of her little sister Aafia as a sweet child and the bright, brilliant, wonderful, generous and kind young woman she grew up to be. It truly brought Aafia to life. My heart breaks for her, her children and her family. There are really no words to express the evil that was done and continues to be done to Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

I am ashamed of the Pakistani government behaviour. So much for an Islamic country. Here in England Boris Johnson managed the release for Nazamin Zaghari Ratcliffe after 6 years. She was accused of propaganda against the Iranian government. The human rights had said she had post-traumatuc stress disorder, depression and obsessive stress disorder, due to "traumatic experience in the prison of Iran. She was plastered all over the mainstream media and social media. I remember the media talked about her husband was on a hunger strike. Only Allah Swt knows what deals were done behind the scene.

I'm sorry, as I very much appreciate all the distinguished speakers supporting justice and freedom for Dr Aafia Siddiqui, but I've researched her tragedy. I'm not a scholar but I've analysed and scrutinised the historic facts of information I've been able to discover. I have never once looked at Wikipedia. I agree this is completely political. However, listening to this online campaign, I am frustrated again, as I have been for some time, that it appears that no one in this online conference has either the courage or belief that the pivotal origin of Aafia's tragic injustice commencing in 2003 was/is her ex-husband Dr Amjad Mohammed Khan. This has always been my belief and it makes absolute sense. Yes, Dr Fowzia Siddiqui and one or two other speakers mentioned Aafia's abusive marriage and someone said her 19yrs of unprecedented injustice was in payment of her failed marriage. My apologies and no disrespect, but it was a marriage that shouldn't have been. From my research I gathered Aafia only married to please her parents, because she didn't even really know this self-serving sociopath she married. It's also been mentioned here that Dr Amjad Mohammed Khan was a person of interest to the FBI. That is obviously recorded fact. I believe Dr Amjad Mohammed Khan FBI troubles, add to that his malicious envy towards his ex-wife, was the coup de grâce that spurred him into action to initiate the most unspeakable spiteful and vicious fate anyone could possibly implement against someone. Especially the mother of one's children. Especially disregarding endangering and destroying the lives of one's children. My conclusion is that Dr Amjad Mohammed Khan is the catalyst that sealed Aafia's fate the day she and het children were first abducted by ISI/CIA henchmen in 2003. It is my opinion that Dr Amjad Mohammed Khan made a deal with the FBI/CIA in literally selling his ex-wife as a "terrorist". In turn the US agencies conspired with the ISI for a price to abduct Aafia and the children. It's highly likely the baby was killed during the abduction, but that is only my surmise. Dr Amjad Mohammed Khan hung around for a bit in Pakistan but he vanished some time ago. Unless he's returned, my research mentioned he ended up in Saudi Arabia. I also fully concur that the primary, if not only factor, that both US and Pakistan refuse all opportunities to repatriate and free Aafia is that they cannot afford the blowback of one of the most notoriously egregious crimes against one innocent woman in modern history. Another point that I believe is a mistake to think is that Aafia was freed when she was wondering around lost and confused and, hence, picked up by Afghan police in 2008. I sincerely believe it was a setup. After all, wasn't there a handbag planted with alleged evidence "proving" she was a "terrorist"? It was CIA's plan for Aafia to be publicly caught red-handed, so US could charge her and extradite her to the US on terrorism charges. However, it was obviously just a sham, but for their own PR reasons for the benefit of the world stage, they wanted to play this plan out. The faked shooting incident was a better opportunity and took precedence over the original plan. No one could interfere with US legal authority in the arrest and extradition of a Pakistani citizen "shooting" at US soldier(s) in Afghanistan. It's also occurred to me, and please dont think me callous, because I do care very much, that it's puzzling with thousands of Pakistanis disappeared during those years and not found to date, why Aafia was disappeared for five years only to be publicly displayed in an international arrest scam, when she could have been permanently disappeared so easily at the hands of the CIA, who are experts at disappearing thousands of innocent civilians.

Yeah some of your points seem valid. Regarding her husband being the reason she was caught, where did you read up on that?

I really agree with the point of her ex husband involved in her disappearance..and this was what I understood after researching on her case and to my surprise no article even spoke about this point that totally made sense on her ex husband involvement
