Bullet ricoche'd off of a metal object (most likely the bed), you can see this happens multiple times, the drawer to his left gets bullet holes as well. EDIT:at 11:39 you can see many things supporting this theory, mainly 1. the bullet holes mentioned previous 2. the bed just in frame (right side of screen) is both metal and is pushed backwards by the force of a bullet. This also happens as he aims straight at the bed a few seconds afterwards. I believe Rythian has finally been given justice. #justiceforrythian

Taykillz Yeah this is correct I did some googling and found out that guns from the MK-9 pack like the Tec-9 have bullet ricochet off of metal objects. Thus the bullets bounced off the metal bed frame behind Duncan and killed Rythain because he was low on health. #JusticeforRythain

Obviously, there's only one logical solution to Rythian's mystery death. See, Zylus was wearing the detective outfit that game. Since that game was canon, Zylus' 100% detective win rate forced an innocent victory, therefore killing Rythian despite all the odds. Case closed. #JusticeForRythian

Guys I have spent months on this issue. AND I HAVE FINALLY REALISED WHAT IT MOST LIKELY IS. Rythian walked into the poster on the wall receiving a devastating paper cut which ended his life due to loss of blood.

So, for people coming here and re-watching years after the fact. The solution is: Tom did kill Rhythian. However it was because the Tek9 has ricocheting bullets that deflected off Duncan's gun which became a viable object for ricochet once Duncan died and was dropping it towards the floor. So it was Tom, in the bedroom with the Tek9 and his accomplice was Duncan's shotgun.

11:30 My best guess is that Rythian died because of a combination of how inaccurate the TEC-9 is and server lag. Potentially (if it's possible which I'm fairly sure it is with MK-9 weapons) the bullets bounced off the bed behind Duncan and 3 managed to hit Rythian against all odds (because MK-9 bullets bounce off metal). That's my best guess.

Captain Natjo I'm fairly certain you are correct sir as initially I didn't think there was bullet ricochet in gmod but upon further googling it does seem like some guns like the ones from MK-9 definitely do have ricochet off of certain objects like metal and so it was the wild spray of bullets from the Tec-9 that hit the metal bed frame behind Duncan that killed Rythian. #JusticeforRythian

Jacob Krakowski Scrolling the comments I saw one other ricocheting bullet theory which involved Duncan’s shotgun and the metal cabinet on his right. Again, a fair idea but the double barrel doesn’t have as wide a blast to hit the cabinet and even if it did why did each bullet that hit Rythian hit in a order, not all at once. The TEC-9 idea is the most solid one that exists.

Easiest way to know where Rythian was shot from, is to look at the blood spatters; they're on the white wall, therefore the bulet must've rocochet 180 degrees. The only thing capable of doing that. must be the bed frame, which got some bullet holes in them if you look closely. Justice for Rythian.

tom doesn't turn his head fast enough to hit the bed to have it "ricochet" plus ducan is in the way of the bed, going on gmod with others we found no gun that had a ricochet function, even the tec-9 they use, I just can believe it based on what I saw but there is a possibility of anything how nose but, what I think it is, watch 11:26 and watch the wall to the left there is a bullet hole that appeared,and on exaclyy 11:28 on you can see a bullet head to the right hiting and killing him, witch means the shoot may have gone to the left, in a very inacurat gun like the tec-9 would so I beleive the inacurat gun helped tom win.

My theory: The Tec-9's spray pattern was set stupidly high and it sent stray bullets all around the room. There were particles around Rythian like the wall there was shot just before blood particles started appearing.

11:39 you can clearly see the bullet came out of the window. It was lanable hector shooting the window after being stuck in a new time zone after fixing the time gate at the end of flux baddies. He fired a needle gun from rising upmost of the puddle and it killed rythian

From what I saw, at 11:41-11:42 a bullet from Tom's tec-9 ricochets off the back wall and onto the floor vaguely in Rythian's direction. Looking at the hit location on Rythian, it looks like the shot came from either behind him OR from a bullet heading opposite to the wall (as the shot hit his back). So, Tom most likely just got a lucky ricochet kill on Rythian.

at 11:42, at 0.25 speed, you can see a bullet hit animation show up on Rythian's shoulder- followed by a blood splatter- followed by Rythian's death. This supports the theory that the bullet ricoched off of something, hitting Rythian.

From careful analysis of the death of Rythian, we can clearly see that the shots came through the wall into his head. From this, we can guess that someone in this lobby is either very lucky or has aim hacks. We know it isn’t Tom, Duncan, Lewis, Zylus or Rythian which leaves Simon and Ben. As it is impossible for someone to be on the other side of the wall Rythian was next to, the shots must have come from the floor below. However, Ben was already on the stairs at the point when Rythian was killed, which leaves Simon as the only suspect. #JusticeForRythian
