💥 *Now, Justice in Islam!* A Coptic Egyptian traveled to Medina and asked for the Caliph at the Prophet’s Mosque. Umar RA responded with affirmation and the man joined him on the floor of the Mosque with Umar’s advisers and the Sahaba RA (Companions of the Prophet SAW). The Egyptian explained that he had engaged Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Al ‘Aas (son of Umar’s governor over Egypt, Amr ibn Al ‘Aas RA) in a horse race and won. Muhammad claimed the contrary. Upon inspecting himself, the Egyptian insisted the victory was his. Muhammad proceeded to beat him and tell him: take it and I am the son of nobles. As the Egyptian finished, Umar RA ordered the man to stay in Medina and instructed a summons to be sent to Amr ibn Al ‘Aas RA, reading: 💥 *WHENEVER THIS LETTER OF MINE REACHES YOU, COME TO ME AND BRING YOUR SON WITH YOU!* When Amr RA arrived accompanied by his son, Umar RA held a short trial to ensure the accusation was true. When it was confirmed, Umar RA then handed the Egyptian his staff and told him: 💥 *BEAT THE SON OF NOBLES!* When the man felt he had fulfilled his right, Umar RA ordered him: Turn it [the staff] onto Amr’s scalp, for he [Amr’s son] only beat you because of his father’s position [of governance]! The man replied with rejection, saying that he had fulfilled his vengeance upon the one who oppressed him, and wanted nothing to do with Amr RA himself. Umar RA then turned to Amr ibn Al ‘Aas RA and, in one of his most famous statements, proclaimed: 💥 *O AMR, WHEN DID YOU ENSLAVE THE PEOPLE WHEN THEIR MOTHERS BORE THEM FREE?* To Umar RA, Amr’s position to him didn’t matter. It held no significance to him that Amr was his governor, while the Egyptian was a “commoner”. It didn’t matter to him that Amr’s clan in the Quraysh tribe is one of the most influential and powerful, while Umar’s lineage bears no benefit. It was of no consequence to him that he and Amr RA were long-time friends, before and after Islam. Umar RA ruled over a large empire, spanning Arabia, the Levant, Iraq, Persia, and Egypt. His reign was its zenith. His armies had challenged the might of the two most powerful empires on Earth in his time: Byzantium and Persia. He had toppled the millennia-old Persian Imperial family and lineage. He had ran the Byzantines to the ground, taking Damascus and conquering Jerusalem and defeating 240,000 Byzantines with an army of 30,000 led by Khalid ibn Al-Waleed RA at Yarmouk. His reputation had reached East and West, as Turkic chiefs and the Chinese Emperor refused to aid the last Persian ruler, Yazdegerd III, fearing a confrontation with the Muslim armies, as the Chinese Emperor himself replied to Yazdegerd’s plea: *These are men who could uproot mountains if they so desired.* With all this behind Umar RA, what would any ruler do? Any ruler wouldn’t be as accessible as Umar was, seated on the floor in the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina. Any ruler wouldn’t bother to receive the Coptic Egyptian, being an outsider in three facets: non-Arab, non-Muslim, and a foreign commoner of a province. Any ruler would rather maintain his friendship with a strong governor than risk breaking it by instating justice. But Umar RA wasn’t any ruler, and it would be a lie against the Prophet SAW (who titled Umar Al-Farooq: he who distinguished between truth and falsehood) if Umar RA did not fulfill his title of Al-Farooq. It would be a lie against Umar RA himself, if he did not adhere to his words: 💥 *If a mule were to trip on the banks of the Euphrates, I would have feared that Umar would be questioned for it [by Allah] as to why he didn’t pave the road for it.* And it would be a lie against Persian Imperial messenger who, upon meeting Umar RA while sleeping under a palm tree and seeing his humility, his accessibility, and his lack of guards, proclaimed: 💥 *You ruled, You instated justice, and thus you were safe (from the vengeance of the people), and thus you slept.* He fulfilled the Prophet’s expectation of him, his own words, and the Persian messenger’s observation. He put behind him his achievements, his position of power, his ties to Amr RA, and avenged a commoner from a far away land. Thus was his impartiality. Thus was his justice, thus is Islam!

And one said, "Is not that Bathshe'ba, the daughter of Eli'am, the wife of Uri'ah the Hittite?" So David send messengers and took her, and SHE CAME TO HIM AND HE L@Y WITH HER.. Then she returned to her house; and she sent and told David, I am with child. David called her husband, and invited him, and ate in his presence and drank, so that he made him drunk. In the morning David wrote to Jo'ab, "Set Uri'ah in the forefront of the hardest fighting, and then draw back from him, that he may be struck down and die. The Question of Karma To understand the working of Karma, it is important to understand what Karma is. Every action, speech, or thought constutes a Karma. Every motion,every action, every transformation, everything in this manifested universe are sustained by the Karmic cycle of action and its fruits. Thus, whatever action one performs, one will invariably face its results, the only variable is the time. Now,let us understand Karma at individual level. Scriptures divide Karma into three categories: Sanchita, Prarabdha, and Agami. Sanchita Karma is the store house of all your Karmas performed till now but, which are yet to bear results. The actions you are performing now out of free will in this life, in present, are called as “Agami Karma” and they keep getting added to the store house of Sanchita and will bear result in future. Prarabdha Karma is those set of Karmas, which has become ripe to give fruits. It is Prarabdha Karma,which causes your current birth and determines, the body you get, family you get, your svabhava and vasanas. The Jyotishya Shastra, makes Kundali chart based on these Prarabdha Karmas, which lays out a general framework of the kind of life a person will have and the situations he/she will face. Thus, what we call fate is nothing but previous Karmas,which is giving results now. It is a reference to Prarabdha Karma. But, we have a free will to choose how we respond to the situations presented by the Prarabdha Karma. This exersion of free will is Agami Karma, which inturn will bear fruits in future.

The Question of Self and self The Hindu scriptures adopt various methods to explain layers of our identity and self-hood. At the grossest level, we identify ourselves with name and form, with our physical body and physical Universe. The Physical body is called Sthula Sharira. But, physical body is not everything we have. we have the intellect, mind, and the senses, which are non-physical, and are called as Sushma or Linga Sharira i.e. subtle body. The Pranamaya Kosha, manomaya Kosha, and Vigyanamaya kosha refers to this Sushma Sharira. Then, we have the ‘Karana Sharira” or the “Causal body”, which is the source of physical and subtle body. This Causal body is nothing but the storehouse of Sanchita Karmas, refered to before. These three bodies corresponds to the state of waking, dreaming, and deep-sleep. And beyond these three body is the True Self, the innermost Self, Atman, which is ever free and free from all conditioning and is transdendent and as well as a Witness. This Atman is the true Self (capital S). Where as the ego, the Ahamkara, which is seated in Causal body and which manifests and self-identifies with Sthula and Sukshma, is the smaller self (with small s). When we speak about birth and death, or afterlife, or rebirth, etc. it is not the Atman, which is spoken, but the Ahamkara, which self identifies with body and mind. Then, there is one more term, Jivatma, which is often translated as individual soul, but is not very proper nevertheless. Jivatma is actually that ray of consciousness (Atman), which is reflected in the Jiva (stula-sukshma-Karna complex). Upanishads call it Angushta-Matra Purusha- Purusha who is size of thumb, who exists in the Hrdaya-Heart (i.e. center of individual existence, not physical heart) and controls the Jiva. But, most people when they are in their physical and subtle bodies, in waking and dream state, they are mostly unaware and ignorant about the workings of Jivatma. Thus, from the practical sense, Jivatma controls everthing indirectly (though, in truth it is the true controller). Mostly, people exist in Ahamkara and work on that plane by identifying oneself with body and mind, with Stula and Sukshma sharira. Thus, using “individual soul” or the “soul” could be quite misleading as we do not know whether it refers to Jivatma, or Ahamkara or simply to the sukshma sharira.

The Question of Karmic Fruits We previously saw, how Prarabdha Karma results in our present birth. The scriptures also deal with how our present Karmas effect our future births. Among many factors that play a role in determining the Karmas, which ripe and become Prarabdha to manifest a birth in a body, two play important role: One how we lead our present life, how we exert our free will, what Agami Karmas we performa nd how and secondly, our last thought/desire that is very strong at the time of death. You might have heard, stories about how taking the name of Lord at death, helped people attain Vaikunta etc. It is a reference to this factor. One will be having God in his mind at the time of death, only if he/she has cultivated strong devotion and surrendering throughout his/her life. Now, coming back to the question how our present actions effect us and what kind of actions lead to what kind of birth. The scriptures speak about how, those who thoroughly live a life of Dharma and practice devotion will attain attain heaven or the realm of Deities after death, a state which is relatively more free than physical state. Similarly, how who perform predominently Adharma attain realms of Narakas, where they suffer or take birth as animals,plants, or as human families, where they undergo enormous suffering and bondage. And those people with a mixed bag of Dharma and Adharmic actions, takes birth again as a human. Thus, Dharma leads to Swarga, Adharma to Naraka, and a mixture of two into Manushya Loka. But, this is of course a outline and there are lot of nuances involved. For example, only those who perform Devotion and Upasana for a long time and have attained considerable surrendering and one-pointed cocnentration attain Devaloka at death. They will remain in Devaloka untill their Good Karmas are exhausted and then return to take birth as human. On the other hand, those who perform their duties well and live righteously and Dharmically but without performing Upasana, will travel to Pitr Loka after death. Even they return to human existence after exhaution of the Dharmic karmas. It is to be noted, existence in Devaloka is much more better and happier and lesser bondage than Pitr Loka and which in turn is always better than other realms like Narakas, which are full of suffering. And as said before, those who live Adharmically and selfishlly harming others and mindlessly pursuing desires without care for other’s welfare, will attain Narakas (temporary realms of suffering) and then take birth as animals, plant, etc. which are having more tamas and more bondage and continue to suffer, till they are Karmically ready to take a higher birth.

@@kawai50 brahman is He(the ultimate God) , he is formless. Brahma on the other hand is a post given to creator, entirely two different things. You can't give any physical attributes to Brahman. But on other hand Brahma has physical attributes described( you can understand him as angel , if it's make sense). After this Brahma a new Brahma will born, but Brahman is eternal

The Hindu believes in the conviction that the spirit is renewed as an alternate structure when somebody dies. They believe that, albeit the actual body dies, their spirit remains and keeps on reusing until it settles upon its real essence. 1. What Happens Right After Demise? When a person dies, their atman is renewed in an alternate body. Some believe rebirth happens straightforwardly at death, and others claim that an atman may exist in different domains. Hindus accept that an atman may enter Swarg or Narak for a certain period before rebirth. Hindus have faith in karma or ‘deliberate activity.’ In the Bhagavad Gita, it is said: वासांसि जीर्णानि यथा विहाय नवानि गह्णाति नरोऽपराणि | तथा शरी राणि विहाय जीर्णा न्यन् यानि संयाति नवानि देही “As an individual puts on new pieces of clothing, surrendering old ones, correspondingly, the spirit acknowledges new material bodies, surrendering the old and pointless ones.” This excerpt from Bhagavad Gita shows that the soul continues to take up new bodies like we continue to change garments. The spirit stays living everlastingly once the old ones perish. 2. Reawakening of Soul: In the Hindu religion, the human spirit is undying. After detaching from a dead body, the soul (atman) is reawakened in an alternate body through resurrection. It is the great and the hostile actions (Karma) that decide the spirit’s destiny. Bhagavad Gita says: यं यं वापि स् मरन् भावं त् यजत् यन् तेकलेवरम | तं तमेवतिै कौन् तये सदा तद् भावभावित “And whoever, at the time of death, quits his body, remembering Me alone, at once attains My nature. Of this, there is no doubt. Whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body, that state he will attain without fail.” 3. Hindu Rituals After Death: According to Hindu funeral rites, the body should remain at home until burning. It is usually kept at home for 24 hours after the demise. Due to the concise timeframe of Hindu burning, defensive is considered as inconsequential. It is standard for loved ones to visit the home of the dispossessed to offer their compassion. Conclusion 1. According to Hinduism, there is definitely a life after death. But life and death are continuous cycles that complement each other as long as it takes to attain salvation. 2. For every new birth, there is a new death, and for every new death, there is a new birth

Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do. 👉 *Chapter 11 Hud سورة هود - Hud: Verse 85* وَيَا قَوْمِ أَوْفُوا الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ "And O my people! give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due: commit not evil in the land with intent to do mischief.

He said: "Your ill omen is with Allah; yea, ye are a people under trial." 👉 *Chapter 27 THE ANT سورة النمل - An-Naml: Verse 48* وَكَانَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ There were in the city nine men of a family, who made mischief in the land, and would not reform. 👉 *Chapter 27 THE ANT سورة النمل - An-Naml: Verse 49* قَالُوا تَقَاسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ They said: "Swear a mutual oath by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his people, and that we shall then say to his heir (when he seeks vengeance): 'We were not present at the slaughter of his people, and we are positively telling the truth.'" 👉 *Chapter 27 THE ANT سورة النمل - An-Naml: Verse 50* وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا وَمَكَرْنَا مَكْرًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ They plotted and planned, but We too planned, even while they perceived it not. 👉 *Chapter 27 THE ANT سورة النمل - An-Naml: Verse 51* فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ مَكْرِهِمْ أَنَّا دَمَّرْنَاهُمْ وَقَوْمَهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ Then see what was the end of their plot!- this, that We destroyed them and their people, all (of them). 👉 *Chapter 27 THE ANT سورة النمل - An-Naml: Verse 52* فَتِلْكَ بُيُوتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةً بِمَا ظَلَمُوا ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ Now such were their houses, - in utter ruin, - because they practised wrong-doing. Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 👉 *Chapter 38 Sad سورة ص - Sad: Verse 61* قَالُوا رَبَّنَا مَنْ قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَٰذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِي النَّارِ They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 👉 *Chapter 38 Sad سورة ص - Sad: Verse 62* وَقَالُوا مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُمْ مِنَ الْأَشْرَارِ And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 👉 *Chapter 38 Sad سورة ص - Sad: Verse 63* أَتَّخَذْنَاهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ الْأَبْصَارُ "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 👉 *Chapter 38 Sad سورة ص - Sad: Verse 64* إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire!

Couldst thou but see when the wrong-doers will be made to stand before their Lord, throwing back the word (of blame) on one another! Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!" 👉 *Chapter 34 Saba سورة سبأ - Saba: Verse 32* قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا أَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنَاكُمْ عَنِ الْهُدَىٰ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءَكُمْ ۖ بَلْ كُنْتُمْ مُجْرِمِينَ The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: "Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed. 👉 *Chapter 34 Saba سورة سبأ - Saba: Verse 33* وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا بَلْ مَكْرُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ إِذْ تَأْمُرُونَنَا أَنْ نَكْفُرَ بِاللَّهِ وَنَجْعَلَ لَهُ أَنْدَادًا ۚ وَأَسَرُّوا النَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَغْلَالَ فِي أَعْنَاقِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ هَلْ يُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Nay! it was a plot (of yours) by day and by night: Behold! Ye (constantly) ordered us to be ungrateful to Allah and to attribute equals to Him!" They will declare (their) repentance when they see the Penalty: We shall put yokes on the necks of the Unbelievers: It would only be a requital for their (ill) Deeds.

Thus will Allah show them (The fruits of) their deeds as (nothing but) regrets. Nor will there be a way for them out of the Fire.

The weak ones (who followed) will say to those who had been arrogant, "We but followed you: Can ye then take (on yourselves) from us some share of the Fire? 👉 *Chapter 40 The Forgiver سورة غافر - Ghafir: Verse 48* قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُلٌّ فِيهَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ حَكَمَ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ Those who had been arrogant will say: "We are all in this (Fire)! Truly, Allah has judged between (his) Servants!" 👉 *Chapter 40 The Forgiver سورة غافر - Ghafir: Verse 49* وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ فِي النَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ يُخَفِّفْ عَنَّا يَوْمًا مِنَ الْعَذَابِ Those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Hell: "Pray to your Lord to lighten us the Penalty for a day (at least)!" 👉 *Chapter 40 The Forgiver سورة غافر - Ghafir: Verse 50* قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ تَكُ تَأْتِيكُمْ رُسُلُكُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ ۚ قَالُوا فَادْعُوا ۗ وَمَا دُعَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ They will say: "Did there not come to you your messengers with Clear Signs?" They will say, "Yes". They will reply, "Then pray (as ye like)! But the prayer of those without Faith is nothing but (futile wandering) in (mazes of) error!"

They will reply, "If we had received the Guidance of Allah, we should have given it to you: to us it makes no difference (now) whether we rage, or bear (these torments) with patience: for ourselves there is no way of escape."
