We must respect the lady for braving herself to speak for Hinduism - we hardly have Hindus speaking at SC. The discussion would have been more meaningful, if she had a bit more knowledge - she said she had not read the scriptures, which is quite awful. We commend Hashim too for being open in the discussion. This has been a breath of fresh air, compared to those cases which were quite frightening when one party keeps talking, sometimes without adequate evidence, and not allowing the other to participate. Credit to both speakers.

Ancient Hindus knew many things and our faith is the oldest and has survived multiple attempts to eradicate it. There is no archaeological or historical evidence of any deities lmao. But a Hindu doesn't need to be a theist, Sanatana Dharma isn't a religion. The Vedas are hymns of praise, the Upanishads are teachings about consciousness, the self and the universe, there are other teachings on cosmology and astronomy too, the Ramayana and Mahabharata are Itihas, the Puranas are legends (or if you wanna call then myths then feel free) We are not blind accepters, we are seekers and experiencers. I appreciate my freedom and the ability to respect other religions. I hope that someday you will do the same 🙏

@@Proudme7 I don’t actually know with certainty but In the video it gets mentioned that in Hinduism there’s a lot of “lower” gods or deities with specific qualities and qualifications such Shiva, Vishnu, Krishna etc but they have one god who’s above these deities called Brahman the eternal origin who is the cause and foundation of all existence in their belief system. It must be stated that there’s many varieties and different schools of thought in Hinduism so this is probably a very basic understanding of it.

@@ardena30 Look one problem I often encounter with people outside Islam is they don’t know basic Islamic principles and then make major claims which most of the times aren’t true or doesn’t comply with Islamic beliefs. I’m not taking about you specifically but just mentioned a tendency I see a lot from non Muslims. In terms of your question Allah doesn’t punish anyone to whom the message of Islam hasn’t reached and explained. But if you know about the religion of Islam and doesn’t put any effort to learn at least the basics and fundamentals it’s absolutely justifiable to put blame on this person. Likewise Allah deals with people how he wills. We can’t know who go to Jannah and who doesn’t. Allah the all merciful and just could by his mercy choose to forgive a Sinner while someone we see as “pious” could go to hell by actions we might not see but Allah do. So there’s no guarantee “Muslims” go to heaven if they don’t follow the commands of Allah, the prophet and the Quran. But Allah swt isn’t by any means unfair or unjust to anyone.

Dharma has the Sanskrit root dhri, which means “that which upholds” or “that without which nothing can stand” or “that which maintains the stability and harmony of the universe.” Dharma encompasses the natural, innate behavior of things, duty, law, ethics, virtue, etc. Every entity in the cosmos has its particular dharma - from the electron, which has the dharma to move in a certain manner, to the clouds, galaxies, plants, insects, and of course, man. Man’s understanding of the dharma of inanimate things is what we now call physics. Violation of dharma creates karma or cause and effect and reincarnation (birth/death duality cycle). So, the purpose of hindu tradition (or hindusim) is to minimize karma through different Yoga pathways including temple tradition/meditation techniques/life styles etc to minimize karma, stop reincarnation and get Moksha (microcosm to macrocosm) Stone deities in hindu temples are for 2 reasons. 1. They are used as objects of attraction (so bathed, given food, dressed up) for focus and meditation in the presence of Sanskrit mantra vibrations, augmented by temple architecture. This technique is for reaching samadhi state which is nothing but the disappearance of subject (you) and object (external world) split momentarily (temple tradition) or temporarily and permanently (in Yoga tradition) to remove past karma or cause and effect (stored in the subtle body Chitta) and stop reincarnation (birth/death duality cycle) 2. Stone deities are also symbolic representations of the well validated Vedic metaphysics Sankhya, nature and laws of nature.. So, what is Sankhya vedic metaphysics? It says that without the conscious, immortal, immutable, immanent (soul), transcendent and omnipresent divine, nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles of energy can happen eg Birth/decay, wave/particle, energy/matter, manifestation/concealment. freezing/melting, man/woman, wake/sleep, summer/winter, day/night etc In other words, there is nothing other than the conscious Shiva + Shakthi. Microcosm = Macrocosm. Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma are just cosmic allegories for the conscious, immanent ( soul ) transcendent and omnipresent divine. Their wives (shakhti, lakshmi and saraswathi) are just cosmic allegories for intelligent energy. Husband and wife always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles to happen. Shiva and shakthi (concealment), Vishnu and Lakshmi (sustain or dharma or balance) and Brahma and saraswathi (manifestation). Another example is summer/winter sustained by fall or spring. Point is, 3 basic material constituents and qualities associated with them are manifested by the divine + energy combination. They further differentiate into 5 elements It also means "Tat Tvam Asi'' meaning - You (conscious and immanent (soul) are (already) that (conscious, transcendent and omnipresent divine) regardless of whether you realize it or not because without the conscious, immanent and omnipresent athma or divine nothing can exist. Identification with thoughts and body is just an illusion because the 5 senses are experienced by the conscious soul and it is NOT the doer. Conscious and omnipresent soul is like a silk thread which goes through different pearls (animate and inanimate) if you think in terms of an analogy Hindu/Vedas say consciousness is an attribute of the immanent soul (just like heat is an attribute of fire and the sun). It is because of the immanent and omnipresent soul there is consciousness in the psycho-physical body. But in Abrahamic religions there is no connection between consciousness and the soul. ERWIN SCHRODINGER (FATHER OF QUANTUM PHYSICS) Schrodinger's biographer Moore, wrote -- “His system - or that of the Upanishads/Vedas - is delightful and consistent: the self and the world are one and they are all. He rejected traditional western religious beliefs (Jewish, Christian, and Islamic) not on the basis of any reasoned argument, nor even with an expression of emotional antipathy, for he loved to use religious expressions and metaphors, but simply by saying that they are naïve--and will NOT understand Quantum theory and consciousness.

But Islam a Polytheist is a perosn who believe in One God and associates other with him. Example hindu believes in One God but they say this God has different Avatar,forms. Some say there are One God(Ishwar) but different bhagwan and devi, devta. Like in Christianity , they say God is one but he divided himself into three parts Father, son, holy spirit. This is Polytheism in Islam. Anything you associate with God is shirk. This association is unfair, unatural.

As I understand it, the caste system is mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita which was told to Arjuna 5000 years ago when Lord Krsna incarnated here on earth. It basically points out a number of duties carried out by various people of certain trades. Nowhere does it advocate for staying in a certain trade, or caste, if you will, just because your father was a shoe maker, or bricklayer or whatever. It is later on that the system was corrupted and has resulted in what we see today.
