I love how each league member takes charge of the bombs in their own way. Aquaman has the unseen army, diana takes a direct aproach to removing the problem. Superman sheilds the world with his body. Creativity always helps show just how good the powers actually are. Command over all aquatic life doesn’t sound that great until you see how far that actually goes. This is a good showing of the micro-scale of that, and any time he flexes by just summoning an army built of sea creatures big and small, but all the dangerous ones, that’s a showing of the macro-scale. There’s also the times where he does have limited ability to control water, though there are other Atlantians that are more skilled at that than him, like Mera or Kaldur, which is likely why he utilizes his brute strength and speed more often.

At the end of the day reverse flash was a flash fanatic prior to becoming the reverse flash who studied the league extensively before going back in time. Plus reverse flash would have a tonne of time to think because speedsters think extremely fast. So this isn't even remotely comparable to whether someone today undestands all the processes which go into making a phone.

His powers is to literally control ocean creatures/organisms, consequently this means practically every living thing as they have originated from the ocean though the more deviated from the ocean they are the harder it becomes to control them but that still allows aqua man to give humans seizures, here we see him use ocean microbes but it would be interesting to see how well he controls terrestrial ones.
