Knowing Zack Snyder, I went into Man of Steel and BVS Ultimate Edition with high expectations and those expectations were vastly exceeded each time. To me, the nightmare stuff in bvs always made sense because Bruce had a fear of Superman and his implications ..and I also knew BVS was always a piece of a puzzle. There isn't much of the theatrical in this.

@@yarc9 no it is not, it's the future. a few years ago Zack Snyder released his story outlines for the cancelled Justice League 2 & 3 which would have shown Darkseid killing Lois and defeating the Justice League, Superman turning evil and the nightmare sequence happens, Flash goes back in time twice to warn Batman to about the future and save Lois, the first time being the dream in BvS, the second time it works then the past changes and Batman sacrifices himself to save Lois, Superman defeats Darkseid, Lois's child becomes the new Batman, the end of Snyder's DC films. it's not a what if scene, it was what Zack Snyder would have had happen if he made Justice League 2 & 3.

This film will arguably be one of the greatest this year. Without question. Just from the trailer alone, this feels like a different film already. You get this sense of dread and dwindling hope. Though people may say we know the outcome from the 2017 version, watching this will be an entirely different experience. Hats of to you Mr Snyder for finishing this beloved project full of love.

I don't want to speak for Snyder, but you will get answers to some of your questions re: the Knightmare timeline. He's dropped tidbits as well as huge spoilers (the latter back when he still thought the film was never going to be released) and it sounds like it'll be absolutely wild, though we'll need the sequel he intended to make in order to have any real closure. Only 20 minutes or less of Snyder's footage was used in the Whedon cut, only the barebones outline of the main plot was kept in, there's so much to flesh out. It really is a brand new film when you consider the new aspect ratio, restored colour grading, upgraded visual effects, and Junkie's original score. Loved your reactions to both trailers!

I think its a mistake to watch the 2017 version before this This is the Snyder Cut.. its suppose to be as best they can make it, the version that should of been released in 2017. Watching the 2017 version will just put you in "compare mode", which is not the point of releasing the Snyder Cut. If anything... You want to watch Batman vs Superman before this, so you are fresh with the setup to this version of Justice League.

Well remember that in Batman vs Superman outside of the obvious gun violence that you mentioned remember that when Batman was whipping their asses in that warehouse? If you look there were blood splatters on the the walls from the impact and such that wasn't there in the theatrical version. Something that probably helped with the R rating

The knightmare stuff from BvS ain't suppose to make sense at that point. It would've made sense probably by JL2. But Snyder already revealed the "why" logic of time travel in that universe and future flashs visit to past Bruce. It makes a lot of sense once you know the reason why that scene is there.

Wallace (the disabled man) drops an F bomb, Batman shows his naked rear end and says “shit,” and blood is red rather than PG-13 black in the UE. All that stuff is why the movie is rated R. On another topic: I don’t see anything about Knightmare in BvS making no sense. It’s a vision of the future. As for Flash’s “Am I too soon?”: He’s asking if it’s too early for Bruce to know what he, Flash, is talking about when he speaks of Lois being the key - which ties in with Superman saying to Batman “She was my world, and you took her from me” just before he pushes his hand into Batman’s chest during Knightmare. If it helps, recall that Superman tells Lois that she is his world later in the film. That stuff really isn’t hard to understand. It’s hardly Twin Peaks.

you have to remember That Joss and the WB removed all of the Darkside Plot line...because they WB wanted to move towards The Legion Of Doom hence the last credit scene with lex and Deathstroke at the end of Justice League aka josstice league 2017 ...lets just accept that WB were 100% scared to risk going up against Marvels 2 part story line movies Infinity War and End Game...and that is why they removed Darkside from the story line so there wouldn't be Justice League Part 2 all because the WB has no guts

At first I didn't car for the Snyder-verse DC movies at first from the theatrical release of BvS, but the extended/uncut version was really good. I figured when I watch Justice League theatrical release, there was going to be an extended version. Don't know why WB doesn't want to just release full movies in theaters. If we like it we'll probably buy it. As for Snyder's color palette, I've gotten use to it. They did the same thing with Suicide Squad; not to mention the experimental new look of Joker. He could have worn purple and have short green hair, but the tattoos, voice, and laugh choice by that director was shitty. Glad Leto gets a redemption showing what the Joker in Suicide Squad could have been.

It looks 4:3 but it's actually native IMAX resolution (1.43:1) which is what Snyder shot JL in. If you Google "1.43:1 aspect ratio" and go to 'Images,' you can see examples including Dunkirk by Nolan. Regardless, can't wait for the movie. Hope you enjoy real-chin Superman! 😂

knightmare scenes are the future where darkseid has killed lois which made superman succumb to darkseid's anti life equation. Turning superman in a globe ruling despot controlled by darkseid. In that future batman, the flash, cyborg and evidently joker are the resistance. To prevent that future from happening they send the flash back in time. That's what you saw in bvs with the am i too early
