It's even labeled 4 hours and 2 minutes on HBO Max, without any chapter selections. Other 4K Blu-ray movie releases like "The Lord of the Rings" Extended Editions, "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Gandhi" are also separated into 2 discs.

Not exactly. ZSJL has nothing in it that was planned for JL2. Snyder said that JL2 was never filmed. JL2 was supposed to actually come out in 2019. Snyder also revealed earlier this year that JL2's script was so long that they had to split that into 2 movies. JL2 would have come out in 2019 and JL3 in 2020. Sadly, it wasn't filmed because of WB's stupidity. Storyboards were revealed of those plans and Snyder himself confirmed they're real.

Sucks that the whole movie is on two discs, I think Zack should cut it down to a 3 hour movie to fit on one disc like BvS Ultimate edition and include the scenes that are cut into the special features on the second disc so you don't have to switch discs, Anyway menu isn't that bad, I like they use that awesome score from Junkie XL and that the menu is animated with that cool poster artwork of the ruins of the hall of justice with everyone gadgets, weapons, mask etc laying around with the torn JL flag placed into the ruble wavering around in the misty wind.

It's always good when longer movies are spread across 2 discs. Keeps to quality as high as possible. And it provides a natural break point. If you don't care about compression you can always stream it. And if you want a shorter version of JL you can watch the one from 2017.

@@WasimSaleem First off fuck that Whedon cut second separating a film to 2 discs is understandable because it's 4 hours long it has nothing to do with keeping the film in high quality as possible and it's not a natural breakpoint and I don't like that it's like that, it should cut down to a 3 hour long movie to fit on one disc, you're upset about my opinion and preference that's your problem, cry more. It's not good to have long movies split onto two discs, I hate it, On Blu-Ray the movie should be 3 hours long on one disc and if anybody wants to watch the full 4 hour version they can log onto HBO Max and watch that version.

@@johnboko7110 it has everything to do with quality. You could put a 4 hour movie on one disc, but then it would be more compressed. Why should it be edited down to 3 hours, when the whole point of ZSJL was to get his complete vision. Years of fan effort dismissed just so you don't have to change discs. If you don't like it, there are plenty of streaming options.
