The great thing about Art was he really was a grounder for Raylan. Raylan definitely had a swagger that needed to be reigned in and Art was awesome at it. Like when he constantly reminded Raylan the other two were better marshals then him

I'm enjoying revisiting the show through these clips. Haven't seen Season 1 in a while and I completely forgot that this is how Art catches Ava and Raylan's little fling. Never did like the two of them together. He had much better chemistry with Winona and she was more the dream girl archetype that fits nicely into the western romance.

Art and Raylan have the best banter. I loved their relationship. Ava and Raylan were so cringe. She was obsessed with him and could not get the hint, even here, that he wanted to keep it casual. Meanwhile, in the same episode he's telling Winona that he regrets losing her. It's one of my favorite scenes though, amazing acting from Olyphant in particular that conveys how he's not at all over Winona.
